Bungalows in Scottsdale area

Andaz Resorts held up to its stellar reputation as a great hotel experience. During Covid, the bungalow style is a great option as well for social distancing (no hotel elevators to navigate). The resort is very pleasing and picturesque and walking around there allowed for great views. The swimming pool was inviting and the bar / lounge was very accommodating. The breakfast menu had exceptional items.
An Urban Desert Oasis

Stayed with the family for four nights in February. The gorgeous grounds are mid-century modern and fully up to date. The Andaz staff are gracious & helpful. Individual casitas with private patios are tailor made for social distancing. Lots of great hiking & restaurants nearby. We'll be back!
Anniversary Staycation
Reviewed by jasonstack2015() on Feb 17, 2021
We did not have a very pleasant experience. We booked this staycation for our wedding anniversary and announcement for my husband that I was pregnant. We had to deal with horrible room service, they got our orders wrong every time we ordered food, and we ordered breakfast twice as well as dinner twice. Our neighbor was fighting, yelling, and conducting themselves in an inappropriate manner from 5pm until 530am. We called the Host five times and they sent someone on ONLY the third call. They were quite for an hour and they started right back up. We left early and check out early because it was not acceptable.
Calm, Quiet, Restful

The Andaz resort is a great option for anyone looking for some quiet time and wants to feel completely safe from Covid-19. I am pleased to say that there was great compliance with wearing masks and other steps at this hotel. I felt safe here. This resort is rather large but doesn't seem to have too many rooms. The net result is it feels spacious, calm, and generally rather quiet. This is not the party hotel. This is more like a quiet oasis. The spa is amazing. Great stuff. The rooms have an interesting mid-century modern design. Architects or interior designers will quickly identify some of the classic pieces. Breakfast was free for me as a Hyatt Globalist and it was a good quality option. The restaurant in the main guest house is generally good with some inventive food options. The location is a bit off. Andaz is tucked away behind a residential complex and near some random strip malls. However, you are only a short distance away (by car) from Old Town Scottsdale and Camelback Mountain. I would suggest having a car with you. This would be a recommended option for people looking for a quiet break.
Overpriced
Reviewed by 518victor(Lancaster, Pennsylvania) on Feb 16, 2021
not worth the price for just a nights rest . I felt like we were taken advantage of because of our desperation. Service was like being at a used car lot, lots of talk about how great they are. Room was clean but not much different than any other hotel.
