    An unforgettable wonderful holiday- Barcelo Gran Fora- Los Cabos

    A most fantastic and memorable stay at Barcelo Gran Fora- Los Cabos from Feb 14th to Feb 18th 2020. We enjoyed every moment of our stay there- from welcome to our room to departure- everything was meticulate and perfect. We were three in a family. The room with Ocean Front view was heavenly with a large patio with chairs to enjoy the sunrise, sunset and the waves. While praising the entire service at Barcelo Gran Fora- would definitely want to profusely thank Restaurant Manager- Yumi & his colleague Francisco. They took care of our restrictive dietary options with utmost care- and served us supreme vegetarian options each time every time. They made sure- we were given utmost personal attention and service- so much so- my wife thought- ours may be a case of mistaken identity and they are mistaking her to be a relative of Princess Diana or other Royal family- such was there care and hospitality. From exquisite local offerings of Jicama to wonderful guacamole and uniquely served vegetarian Sushi- we just cannot forget the delicacies served and the care given to us. Yumi, Francisco and the entire Barcelo Team- you guys rock in hospitality! You work hard so that we guests can enjoy!! Five Stars to Barcelo Gran Fora!     We stayed at this hotel 6th to 20th Feb. Us British have only been able to fly direct to this destination since Nov 2019. The hotel is immaculate, check in was ok for us as only 3 in the queue but at times when we were passing the queues were huge but I'm sure they were dealt with as quick as poss. We had room 3110 which was a great ground floor room once an issue with faulty aircon was switched off, Thanks to the general manager for his help the great Raymondo. The staff are all amazing without exception, service was faultless. Brits tend not to tip for every single service but this did not effect our experience in any way with service or attention. Silvia was our room cleaner and she was fantastic. Atm this is a hote isl used mainly by friendly Canadians and Americans, this made a great change for us Brits to be in the minority and we made many new friends. Few extras needed in the room, there is only filter coffee in the room, Tea, milk and sugar would be a good addition. Breakfast and lunch served in the restaurant overlooking the sea is a grade above the evening buffet. Egg station and plates on the right at breakfast should be relocated as it holds up a long queue. The sign stating you must not reserve sunbeds is ignored as the one asking for food not to be taken from the pool side snack bar, it was taken all over the resort. As you go down to the pool the rooms on the left are bathed in afternoon and evening sun, the right side gets a few hours in the morning. There is a private beach waiting for you along with the usual beach sellers, they need to earn a few pesos but it gets very annoying as this is the Only quiet space to sunbathe in the whole hotel. They should be kept back behind the roped off area. Portable sound boxes should be banned from the private beach area, at one point there were 3 playing at once! The hotel should deal with this. Service in the Mexican restaurant was very hit and miss but the food was good as was Italian. Turn right out of the hotel and walk 15 mins down to holiday Inn you will find a nature walk with birds. The local town is 25 mins walk right out of hotel then take the first left well worth a visit especially on Thurs night when there is an Art display. Rock and brews is a great bar with live music 5 mins walk from the hotel. In hotel entertainment was average, the 3 Tenors were the best as they actually sang Live! The lobby bar is not good, exposed on 3 elevations and is like a wind tunnel, needs glass screening with auto sliding doors. Overall we had a fantastic 2 week stay, the staff are truly lovely, grounds are immaculate and food is overall of a good standard. No key cards, is built into the wrist band, great idea. Enjoy you stay.

    Stayed at Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos from Feb 14 to Feb 19. We upgraded to the premium level without regret although not necessary. Our room was right on the ocean front and with beautiful view. The food was great at all the a la carte restaurants with exceptional service by all staff. The Staff work real hard. You'll enjoy the bartenders at the skybar..great drinks and service. Beach and pools are lovely....would return and recommend

    The Hotel all inclusive. Very nice. The food was great. Many pools. Everything very clean. Staff was great always helping if needed. The weather was perfect. This is a nice restful place. Go to town for more night life if that is what you are looking for.

    Just got here - nothing as it seems. Room type not what we paid for - everything pretty much extra Changing rooms to paid for room later. However waste of a whole day waiting, unable to unpack. Seems to be chronic problem here, as everywhere we go hear people talking about similar issue. So not relaxing yet - we’ll see - so far lots of talk & no do by hotel management
