Beautiful resort, Mixed Experience
Katherine O on Mar 19, 2026
We recently stayed at this resort in Aruba, and as always, Aruba itself is absolutely beautiful. The beach was stunning, the pool was consistently clean, and we never had an issue finding chairs, which made relaxing really easy. The amenities overall were good. The breakfast buffet was a highlight—plenty of options and the staff there were incredibly kind and welcoming. In general, the restaurant staff across the resort were amazing and provided excellent service. That said, the dinner food at the resort was just okay. After trying it a couple of times, my husband and I ended up going off the property for dinners, which we enjoyed much more. The rooms are a bit outdated, but it didn’t impact us too much since we were really only in the room to sleep. Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was the front desk experience. The staff member who assisted us, Rakisha, was noticeably cold during both check-in and check-out. She didn’t greet us warmly or ask basic questions about our stay or travel, and when we asked if it was possible to extend our room for a few hours due to a delayed flight, she simply said no without any effort to help or offer alternatives. We also observed her being much friendlier and more engaging with other guests, which made the interaction feel uncomfortable. This was our second stay at this resort and third time visiting Aruba. While we love the island and many aspects of this property, we would likely consider staying elsewhere on our next visit.
Awful Service!! Lovely location.

I booked a Premium Oceanfront - King Bed with the Honeymoon Package which was supposed to include a bunch of extras. I arrived after 2 days of travel. The reception area is fine, but certainly no “wow factor.” There were only 2 people working at the front desk when about 20 people arrived from the airport. (I noticed that was the typical staffing during peak times.) I had requested a room on the lower level in a building that one had direct beach access to the water and no rocks to climb across. I received a room with 2 queen beds in a building that had the rocky access to the water. I’m a 6’5” gentleman who knows that I cannot sleep comfortably in a queen bed. I also paid for a King bed. The best they could do was offer me a king bedroom on the second floor several days later. I would need to pack up, leave my luggage at the front desk and move into the new room around 4 pm. I agreed to it at that moment, but a few days later, I changed my mind and while I didn’t like the room I was in, I didn’t want the inconvenience of packing up and going through that whole process again. Upon walking into the room, I learned that they had both the AC and a dehumidifier on full blast with a note saying to please maintain both at those levels to help prevent moisture and mold build up. I appreciate those efforts. However, the humidifier was incredibly loud. The combination of noise and the tiny bed lead to poor sleep. But wait there’s more…after a day or 2 I realized dehumidifier was leaking. So, I emptied the bucket only to find mold in the bucket. I mentioned it to the front desk. I think the housekeeping came and clean the floor and the bucket. But I realized the floor was wet the next morning too and the carpet nearby was really wet. I again mentioned it to the front desk and this time they removed the dehumidifier altogether, but the carpet was still there and soaked. After telling them about it a third time, they removed the carpet. Then during one of those visits to the front desk, I also mentioned that I never received anything from my honeymoon package. The question I immediately received was, “do you have your certificate?” What certificate? They never gave me a certificate. “Your marriage certificate.” Well, I booked this trip for me and my girlfriend, but she ended up not being able to come, but I still paid for it and there was no language that said it was only for married couples or couples at all. They offered me a gift certificate for one of their restaurants or the spa. I wasn’t interested in any of that. They offered to have me speak with a manager, but couldn’t get one on the phone or in-person. I said that when they found one, have them come and speak with me. Never spoke with anyone and no other offer to make rectify things. When I checked out, first they wanted me to donate money to charity. I love helping local charities both in my community and when I travel, but there was no information about the charity and I did not have time to have them figure that out. Then there was a strange interaction where the person checking me out just walked away, waited for another staff member to come look at the screen in front of me, enter something and walk away. This was the nature and vibe around all of my front desk interactions. All of these were minor annoyances. The resort is clean. The grounds are lovely. The breakfast buffet that is open air is nice. I don’t like buffets, but this was clean and had lots of variety. Although I wish they had more fruits and bakery-fresh breads and pastries. They need to offer premium liquors. I was really disappointed in the options. I only ate at the Italian restaurant on the first night, which they selected for me. It was ok. I didn’t come to Aruba to eat Italian food. I ate all of my lunches and dinners off the resort. Oh and I really liked their new cafe for coffee drinks and pastries. Again, the pastries were anything amazing, but better than the buffet selection. For the cost, I would expect the service to be significantly better. Friendlier. And the ability to make these annoyances go away. In the end, I paid more for a room I didn’t get and a package I didn’t get. I got screwed and they don’t seem care at all. I gave them 2 stars because I was in Aruba.
Nice resort

Low rise quiet, no frills resort. Check in was okay. First floor room 2507 was clean but dated. Sliding glass door takes you right onto the beach. That was the BEST part. Door handle was broken but they came to fix it in 5 minutes. Not all the restaurants are part of the "all inclusive". Breakfast 7 - 10:45 am and lunch 12 - 3:30 pm buffets are on this property but dinner is at Divi. It's a 15 minute walk or 5 minute shuttle. Both buffets had tons of options, but the best part was definitely the custom-order stations. Servers were wonderful and kind. Only one bar at the pool, which is by check in. They will take your drink order if you are at the pool but they do not come to the beach. The bar is open from 11 am - 1 am. They have some food options, pizza, hot dogs, fries. Drinks are pretty good. Bring a refillable water bottle. They are environmentally responsible so no straws and no plastic water bottles. There are lots of water stations around the property. Make reservations at Ginger and Paparazzi. Very good food. Overall, nice place, although not sure I would go back.

My husband and I recently spent a 5 night stay at Tamarijn Aruba to celebrate my 40th Birthday and it was outstanding from start to finish. The location of the resort is ideal, just a short cab ride from the airport and downtown, a 10 minute bike ride to Eagle Beach, but on a quiet section of the island which never felt crowded at any point. The resort was gorgeous and constantly being cleaned and landscaped throughout our trip. Our room was minimal and perfect for our stay. We especially loved that all of the rooms have a gorgeous, private feeling view of the water. Having access to all of the Divi was incredible. We loved walking the entire resort and being able to access all of the pools and restaurants. There was plenty to do but you could also find quiet, private areas to relax. The food was excellent and we had no problem getting reservations at each specialty dining option using the app with ease. Club Margot was our favorite experience with ocean sunset views right from our table and an incredible tapas menu. The highlight of our trip was the bike and snorkeling tour with Zef and Donny. They led a group of us on E-bikes for a 12 mile round trip experience, helped us navigate an amazing snorkeling area and led us to some of the best spots for swimming with sea turtles and colorful fish! They took photos and videos to share with us from the water and helped us feel at ease in the water. Zef led the bikes, stopping traffic as needed to allow us all to get through the round-abouts safely while Donny drove the truck so we didn’t have to carry all of our belongings on the bikes. One person in our group ended up with a flat tire so they had extra bikes as backup which was helpful. They even provided a lunch for us at the snorkeling spot with wraps, drinks, fresh fruit, and dessert. The entire trip was outstanding, well thought out, and at no additional cost as a resort guest! Zef and Donny were AWESOME tour guides and made the entire experience a blast with their great humor. Tours are only offered on Wednesdays and Fridays so sign up early. We were worried we had missed out as it was previously full, but John at the recreation center helped us secure the last two spots the morning of the tour when there was a cancellation and we will be forever grateful! Even if you miss the guided tour, the option to rent bikes at no additional cost was a great way to explore more of the island. I felt safe navigating the various bike paths that stretch along the majority of the roads and it was easy to get around Aruba! Besides bikes the resort also has snorkeling gear, and floats for the water to sign out as needed. The Tamarijn has thought of everything that you could ever need for a successful stay. We especially loved the local vendor nights when they brought in local artists with tables selling souvenirs right near the pools both at the Divi and Tamarijn. Each night there were multiple options for live music and shows but it was never too loud in the rest of the resort considering our room was right near all of the action in the main portion of the hotel. The front desk staff was helpful and pleasant, Valerie was exceptional. We had a late flight out so they gave us a temporary bracelet to be able to use the resort after check out at 12, had a locked area for our luggage and also full bathrooms with showers, etc so that we could still enjoy our final hours in Aruba. All of the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. It’s no wonder Aruba is known as one happy island. We can’t wait to return to the Tamarijn and bring our kids back!
Our family had a great stay

Stayed at the Tamarijn for a week with my wife and son. My kiddo really enjoyed the kids camp, counselors at the camp especially Lisandra were friendly and my son wanted to go back daily for their activities. Food was great especially for dinner at their reservation restaurants, Paparazzi and Red Parrot were our favorites. As others have said, the bar food is sub par vs other all inclusive resorts I've been to but the lunch buffets make up for it. Room was clean and great for our needs, we were on a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. Things the resort could work on 1. don't be stingy with towels, only allowing one towel per person for beach use seems overly strict. 2. have a restaurant at each hotel open for sit down lunch service 3. allow for you to book sit-down restaurants before arrival or promote this as an option. In summary, I'd definitely come back next year. Can't beat the weather on this island and the staff were friendly.
