Don’t believe the reviews

Danielle M on Jun 13, 2026

Firstly, please don’t believe the negative reviews. I for one read everything on trip advisor before I go anywhere and was a little sceptical with the reviews. Yes, the rooms are a little dated, but they were spacious….walk in wardrobe and shower. Balcony was big, free safe, iron and ironing board and all toiletries. Not sure what else you would need. There are no lifts, so please make sure you ask for a ground floor if you have any disability. The food is probably the best I’ve had at an all inclusive. The breakfast and lunch are buffett style with plenty of choice. Evening meal you can choose between the main restaurant and Enid’s. They ask if you want to make a dinner reservation at breakfast and you get to see both menus. Both are table service, which is amazing! Cocktails are amazing and the wine is a good standard. On behalf of us all, a huge shout out to Kareen, Sophia, Guye, Rohan and Vinnie! Honestly the best staff! Caroline the manager was present every morning talking to all the guests, which was a breath of fresh air. The only person that let the hotel down was Danielle. Very dismissive, waved her arm at my friend one day and was basically rude. I would never name names, but unfortunately rude staff has a massive reflection on the hotel and lets the other staff down! People say there is no beach, which I find quite funny. You walk down 5 steps to the left of the hotel and you’re on the prestige sandy land beach! Can people not walk 30 seconds! I would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat!!! You really won’t regret it.

Great…but

Tracy I (Sault Ste. Marie, Canada) on Jun 12, 2026

My husband and I just returned from this resort and overall we had a great time. Room was clean and spacious. We had a walk out to the ocean which was steps away from beautiful Sandy Lane beach. Sunsets were beautiful. Food very good at all restaurants. Carmella the hostess in the Sunset was lovely. The wonderful lady at the food truck…sorry didn’t get her name…thanks for taking care of my husband’s chicken wing addiction…you were awesome. Joy in the gift shop also very lovely…and she takes good care of Mary the resort cat. Now a couple of things that did bother us as people have mentioned rude staff. Most staff were very nice…however the water sports guy was very rude to my husband. We had just got to the resort and forgot our towels in the room to return. We would have brought them back after. He basically reprimanded my husband like he was a child. He’s very lucky my husband lets things go easier than I would have. The day we leave check out is 11am. Housekeeping is banging loudly on our door at 930 basically rushing us to get out. I almost stayed there until 10:45 as we have paid for it. Overall we may consider going back however rude staff really takes away from the experience.

VERY CHILLED

Angie M on Jun 10, 2026

Just returned from a glorious 14 day stay at The Club. Third time in Barbados, but first staying here. The resort is not overly large, which we found very appealing. Much preferred to a large-scale all inclusive. All the staff we met were 5 star - very friendly, helpful and always greeted us with a smile. Food was exceptional. So much choice - buffet nights were fab and hubby doesn’t normally like buffets, but really enjoyed them. Lovely stretch of beach just beyond the hotel towards Sandy Lane Hotel. Some days we were the only ones on there at times. Mentions must go to Karrene, Darius, Vinnie, Gerome, Guye, Mary the cat and our wonderful maid Kim! One point to mention is that the Manager, Caroline, is always very visible, ensuring customers are seen and heard. Don’t believe the bad reviews on here. We’re fussy, but could honestly find no fault.

Staff are all lovely great service, good choice of food available in restaurants breakfast lunch and dinner times. Delicious cakes and snacks available all day at the coffee bar. Loved our room and the little star of the show was Mary the cat.

Quality Over Quantity at The Club Barbados

Safari07331423657 on Jun 05, 2026

We stayed at The Club Barbados Resort in April and had a wonderful experience overall. This is not a large resort, which was actually one of its biggest advantages for us. The property is very clean, well maintained, and has a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax. The staff work hard to keep everything spotless, and the smaller size allows for a more personal experience. yes the rooms were dated but tehy were clean and that's what is most important for us. The drinks were excellent, and we especially appreciated that cocktails were made fresh rather than tasting watered down or pre-mixed. The coffee was also surprisingly good, which is not always the case at all-inclusive resorts. There are only two restaurants on site, but we found the quality of the food to be consistently very good. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the menus offered enough variety for our stay. Personally, I would much rather have two restaurants serving excellent food than several restaurants offering average meals. Two employees who truly stood out were Kareen and Chocala (apologies if I have misspelled their names). Their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests made our stay even more enjoyable. I noticed that some guests commented on the service being unfriendly or rude at times. After spending several days at the resort, I came to a different conclusion. Many visitors were from the UK, where service charges are often automatically included. As a result, relatively few guests appeared to tip the staff. While tipping is never mandatory, even a small gesture can go a long way in showing appreciation for the people who work hard to make your vacation enjoyable. I found that the staff were warm, friendly, and appreciative when treated with kindness and respect. If you're looking for a smaller, quieter resort with excellent food, quality drinks, a beautiful beachfront location, and a friendly atmosphere, The Club Barbados is definitely worth considering.
