This is our 5 visit the first since the relaxation of covid regulations. Although temperatures and masks were still required this was a govt regulation that most people seemed happy to comply with. As soon as you were seated masks could be removed. The hotel was relatively quiet during our stay and there was never any problem finding sunbeds either around the pool or on the sea front.
Minor problems were solved quickly (lack of hot water on one afternoon and forgotten room service one day)
Due to the quietness of the resort Enid.s was only open on two nights a week but the a la carte menu in sunset more than compensated. My husband loves fish and there was always a good selection available.
We didn't partake in the water sports but Adam the co-ordinator of daytime entertainment was VERY enthusiastic although his early morning walk could be at a slower pace to accommodate the less agile
We took a long walk every morning towards Bridgetown along the sandy beaches sometimes having to adjust time due to the tides but we never had to battle our way through "battering of waves" as one other review had alleged NO resort can win against mother nature!!
The stars of the resort were the staff starting from the very top
The manager Caroline was very visible and approachable and obviously had a finger on the pulse Although we never mentioned the water problem she apologised for the problem and extended our discharge time so we could spend the whole day in the resort before pick up.
The restaurant staff all seemed to be new since our last visit in 2020 but still very cheerful and attentive. Water and wine were topped up automatically and there was no wait for meals to be presented. The mantra seems to be " your welcome" delivered as if they really mean it and not just an automatic response.
The Bar staff were wonderful Shak the barman was always cheerful and when I asked for a certain cocktail he didn't know we googled it and he made his version, The next day the cocktail had been printed up and added to the menu!
Lotoya the latte queen greeted us every morning with a wide smile and we got a big bear hug from her before we left. It does the heart good that a 50+ woman is referred to a GURL.
Was everything perfect .. of course not but within the constraints of the ongoing Covid regulations it was as good as it could be
more selections of cereals at breakfast ,, no granola second week of visit... not everyone wants a cooked breakfast every morning
TV in rooms very hit and miss many advertised channels not available and several childrens channels in an adult only resort. Bonus was that large TV in lounge area was available and tuned in for Champions league matches keeping the footie fans happy
Will we be back..... of course .. we wouldn't go anywhere else

There is NO beach! Yes, the place has a beach front but there is no sandy beaches where you can put a chair! Extremely disappointing! What was there was rocky. Staff was miserable!! Will not go back!!

My husband and I stayed for 12 nights at the end of Feb / beginning of March 2022 together with some friends.
Our first holiday to Barbados and we had an amazing time. The hotel was perfectly situated for a walk into Holetown. We had a lovely top floor room over looking the gardens with a sea view in the distance. It is in its own little cove, not much of a beach but there are plenty of sunbeds overlooking the sea. ALL the water sports you could want, my husband tried water skiing (at no extra cost) which he hadn't done for 33 years and he had a great time. The food choice was very good and the quality of food was exceptional. In the evening at meal times there was a choice or either the buffet or a la carte, both of which offered plenty to choose from. Caroline the manager was always on hand and ALL her staff are amazing and very friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
Perfect adult only hotel in Barbados, highly recommend. Holiday stay April 22

We loved this hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel has been re decorated in the last year so original concern from other reviews saying it needed some tlc were no longer relevant.
We stayed in a garden superior room and it was just stunning, views of the garden with the tropical feel, overlooking the garden, pools and sea. Just perfect. The room was large with a large king size bed, aircon and decorated to a very high standard. Bathroom big and hot water every day for showers. Noticed another comment on this on another review and we had no issues. Air con and a fan to keep you cool. Large patio doors on to a large balcony with reclining chairs and table. The patio doors keep the tropical beautiful sound out of the garden. Birds and monkeys to be seen in the garden, incredible.
The restaurants, choice of food and drink FANTASTIC!!! We originally planned o try other restaurants but the views, food and drink were so good we didn't want to try anywhere else.
The entertainment was varied and lots of events on every day. Great evening entertainment with singers etc. Well done Adam and entertainment team for making the days and evenings just perfect.
The location of this hotel couldn't be any better, Holetown is a great place to stay and see.
There is very little beach but they do have beaches immediately left and right to you. Also there is a large sand area overlooking the sea with lots of loungers on, we loved staying there all day and to watch the sun go down.
Would highly recommend that you pack your snorkel gear as just in front of the hotel is your own private tropical fish tank. We have never seen so many different types. Incredible.
The water sports are a must and lots of availability on a daily basis.
Huge thank you and well done to all the staff, all very kind and helpful.
Thank you for making our holiday the very best one we have had. We will hopefully return to you soon.
Superb first visit to Barbados- Adam is the best

I recently stayed at the Club Barbados with family, our first visit to Barbados. Unless you are Paris Hilton and expect the Ritz, this will not disappoint. We had a great time. The food choices at the buffet were varied and high quality and also Enid’s was worth a visit on the two nights we went. Yes , the actual beach front has been washed away but literally one minute walk ( not slammed on the rocks like someone said, the highest it will get is to your calf… ) and you are at the most beautiful Sandy lane beach. We had two superior ocean view rooms and the sunsets were spectacular. Correct, that the tv does not have many channels, but you have the Caribbean sea outside your window… The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the entertainment guy Adam, super friendly, enthusiastic and genuinely a good guy. His aqua aerobics each morning were awesome- and full of mixed ages. The spa was a bonus on the two rainy days- pedicures were great. Only suggestion is to get better hair dryers for the bathrooms.
