Loved Sandals Barbados but just a few moans so not quite perfect!

Sandals Barbados is an amazing resort with lots going on, great entertainment, friendly staff and a choice of lovely pools. Our swim- up room was brilliant and had a very well stocked mini bar. Food in all restaurants was delicious although service in some wasn't good - one had us queuing out the door to check in for our pre- booked meal as no one there to greet us. Bar staff in English Bar and Lovers Lane were sometimes slow to acknowledge or serve us when we sat at the Bar. It was difficult to get a sunbed by the pools as Butlers go out very early to reserve them with towels. Annoyingly for us, those reserved sunbeds weren't then often used for 4 or 5 hours! We requested caffeine-free coffee in our room 3 times but never got it. All in all this is a wonderful place though and despite a few moans, we would go back.

Sandals Royal Barbados – Honest Review from Our Recent Stay We recently stayed at Sandals Royal Barbados and overall had a beautiful and relaxing experience. The property itself is stunning—lush landscaping, well-maintained grounds, and access to both Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados made it feel expansive and full of options. We especially loved the variety of pools, including the rooftop infinity pool, and the easy access to the beach, which was gorgeous. Our room accommodations exceeded expectations—we had a suite with a swim-out pool and a fully stocked in-room bar, which was a really luxurious touch. Robes were provided, and the staff took care to accommodate food allergies, which made dining much more comfortable. The variety of restaurants was a highlight, and we enjoyed trying different cuisines each night. The complimentary photo session was also a nice bonus, and we got some great shots to remember our trip. That said, there were a few areas that didn’t meet the standard we expected. Service was often slow, and on several occasions, staff didn’t come across as particularly warm or friendly. Entertainment was a big letdown—many events were either canceled without notice or didn’t happen on time, and overall, the nightlife felt underwhelming. We also found it difficult to get timely restaurant reservations; several nights we weren’t seated until after 8 p.m. For a resort of this caliber, we expected more quick service lunch options—the few available had long wait times. The gift shop on the Barbados side also closed earlier than expected, which was inconvenient. Lastly, our excursion downtown wasn’t great—it cost $60 for two people, and aside from duty-free shops (with unimpressive prices), there wasn’t much to do. Bottom line: The resort is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but service, entertainment, and convenience could use improvement. We still had a lovely time, but with a few refinements, this could be a truly exceptional all-inclusive experience.
