The best!!!! Our friends and family love coming and staying at this resort. Excellent service all the staff is amazing. We have been here multiple times since it was panama jack. It is so nice that the staff remembers you. Everyone treats you like family and go above and beyond to make sure you are always taken care of. There is something to do for every age entertainment is great for children, adults and the whole family. Food is delicious and have many options. Kids loved playing in the sand & the water in the beach/ocean is so clear. Kids love the ice cream/candy shop. Will always come back!!
Could have been better!

This first part is about Wyndham itself: We went to Wyndham Alltra Cancun with another couple who are Wyndham Owners/Members or however they’re called. They’ve been members for 25 years and have VIP status with Wyndham. When we checked in my friend was very surprised that they wasn’t any recognition of their Wyndham membership, VIP status or anything. They were treated as any other guests which he found strange. We have only accompanied them one other time to a Wyndham resort and they were recognized as Wyndham VIP at that resort with a private check in. Not sure why this wasn’t the case at Wyndham Alltra Cancun? Is this a Wyndham resort in name only or should they have been recognized as VIP members and their years of membership? Now the good: The staff were very friendly and eager to please. Everyone from valet, front desk, servers, everyone! The resort itself is nice. The beach and ocean are the best part, simply amazing!! We both had Oceanfront Jr Suites that were directly on the beach. The sunrises and ocean views can’t get any better. The main pool had a living vibe without being too much. The staff would do aerobics and volleyball at times during the day. Pool staff and service was very good. We never used the other pool so can’t comment. Also like that dinner reservations aren’t required. Don’t like going on vacation and having to make a reservation for dinner. At Wyndham we walked right up, were greeted and were seated. Never had to wait, very nice!! Now the not so good: First the pool towels. You get two towel cards when you check in to check out towels. Really? Upscale and resorts wanting to be upscale don’t do this. This is lower class stuff! Simply have the towels on each lounger ready for the guests to use, no checking out towels!! The food was hit and miss. We liked the Asian place the best, was very good. The Italian place was the worst! I had the pepperoni pizza and honestly, it’s the worst pizza I have every had. Pre made cardboard crust with tasteless sauce, tasteless pepperoni and had to have been fake cheese. Terrible! The buffet was also hit and miss, some good and some bad. The daily food shack at the main pool was good as was the taco stand on the beach. Our housekeeping experience wasn’t very good either. We were in room 2418 which must have the the last room on the cleaning list. We would be gone to the beach/pool from about 9/10a-3/4p every day only to come back and find our room hadn’t been touched. By 4p we wanted to rest and cool off for a few hours so we put the DND thing on the door. After the third day in a row of our room not being cleaned, we asked the front desk to look into the issue, the next day our room was cleaned. We stayed 7 days and our room wasn’t touched or refrigerator restocked 4 of those days. This is our (wife & I) 4th stay in the Cancun area, all resorts were all-inclusive. We’ve stayed at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach, Royal Hideaway Playacar, Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita and now Wyndham Alltra Cancun. The Wyndham resort falls into fourth place of these, it was the least impressive of the four. The three other resorts did everything better. My wife & I have also stayed at all-inclusives in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta so my comments and grade is based on all of my experiences, 8 resorts total!! My overall rating is about a 3.5-4.0 Stars… We had a very nice time but as you stay at other all- inclusives, you see where things can improve.
