Customer service could be better

Mostly everything went ok during my stay. But do not expect turquoise sea because it is muddy, but is a nice beach, shallow water. Loved the food and the facilities are comfortable enough. I noticed something that annoyed me though. Waiters, recepcionists and concierges treated kindly foreginers while they were indifferent to mexicans. I live in Mexico so I can tell. For example, foreigners receive a table in the restaurants even when they didn´t have reservation, but at the same time they told me to wait for a free space. A concierge was upset because I refuse to let him take my lugagge to my room, and finally when I was checking out there were around 4 families in the office and only one recepcionist, when I complain to the supervisor about the waiting time he told me "You should woke up earlier to compensate any wait time", even when there were four desks and only one recepcionist; anyways an American man came to him after me and he received attention from a second recepcionist at once, I mean he could waited too after he came after me or even he could receive message I receive from the supervisor. What a nasty attitude. The spa is worth, the massagist was professional and the massage felt really good, but the staff in the lockerooms and in the Hydro therapy pool they need to learn about customer service, they need to be open to explain how the pool works and to answer politely all questions.

Lovely hotel with super friendly staff, this is the 3rd time we’ve been here and would happily come back. We stayed in block 6 in the Diamond club section. Paying for DC is a personal preference, although we think it’s worth it for the extra convenience. Our butlers Fernando and Mauricio were really helpful and attentive, and were key to us getting some of our preferred restaurants for dinner. Special shoutouts to Eddie and Diana at the DC pool for keeping us topped up ????, and to Israel and Jesus at the DC breakfast buffet.
Pick and choose where you eat, drink etc.

Check in was ok but could have been quicker. Let me start by saying i'm lifetime titanium and Marriott seems to not care about status year after year even less. There was no care to status at check in and no offer of diamond besides saying we could get it for an additional $300 each a night. We stayed 10 nights and that was out of the question. Room was ok and looked over the hideaway pool and bar. housekeeper really nice and quick. food ok but stay away from all starch (except fries at food trucks) as all potatoes cold in all restaurants and at pool side lunch events. best food was upgraded tomahawk at steakhouse. mexican rest had really good fajitas and was hottest food and best server who was older. texmex was decent as well. only eat pizza at the Italian restaurant. Eggs at most places undercooked including all omelets. Best thing about this place were Daniel (entertainment) at the pool, and Brian, Raol and others at the hideaway bar went above and beyond.

Check in was a breeze. We were diamond club so we were escorted to the Diamond club check in. Took about ten minutes to get our bracelets and the butler escorted us to our awesome room. We had a Presidential suite room 1406. We had two butlers, Daniel and L. Munoz. These guys were on top of it. These guys checked on us daily. They took care of all of our dinner reservations even when it was last minute. They even made our spa appointment. They were quick to respond to any requests. We aren't needy by any means, but they were always available. The hideaway pool, where we spent the majority of our time was very relaxing in the morning and a bit livelier in the afternoons. They played different pool games daily and kept the music pumping. The pool could have been a little cooler. Raul at the pool bar was awesome. He has the personality and skill to do the job right. The man works hard. Be sure to tip him. He deserves it. The food at this place is great. We never had a bad meal. Our favorite was probably Hunter, the steak house. The sampler platter that had a filet, chicken breast, ribs and sausage is the bomb. The French onion soup as well as the corn chowder are a great starter. Most mornings, we ate at the buffet for breakfast and our waiter, Israel remembered our drink order and had it ready every morning. Nice personal touch. The beach is very nice. Yes, there was some seaweed, but they worked on cleaning it up every day. If you want the perfect blue water this isn't the place. It is cloudy close to the shore but that didn't bother us. Finally, the housekeeper, she was the nicest lady. Her name was Ericka and kept our room spotless. She even had maintenance fix some things that wasn't even a bother to us. She was a hard worker and such a kind soul. Tip her well folks There was one BIG negative for us. Air conditioning in the restaurants. Or lack of air-conditioning in the restaurants. I hate to eat when I am hot. Most of the places to eat are open air. In the afternoons this is a no go unless you like to sweat. Love the Dorado for food but damn it gets too hot in there. We went to the hibachi one evening and I understand you are sitting around the grill, but I saw many people get up from the table because it was so hot. If there is a breeze at night, it is bearable. Please do a better job on getting air-conditioning into these places. However, men do not have to wear pants to dinner. Big plus for that.

Henry was the best at the Pisces Hideaway swim bar. he was very attentive and works very hard! He really made her stay enjoyable! Jesus Torres was an excellent Butler. He always made sure that he carried through in any of our request. He even walked us to our special events at dinner time. He was always checking on us. Daniel the room service staff member was very pleasant the morning we called for room service. He wanted to make sure that the order was correct and was very positive.
