First time to Cancun!
Cheri S on Feb 08, 2025
We had a great week after a couple of hiccups! Room- Arrived Saturday night, our first room was not great- it was a king bed for 3 of us, and the air conditioner sounded like a jet taking of and overlooked the tennis court. The front desk sorted it out- separated the bed and brought me a cot. Unfortunately we were not able to move until Monday, but when we did we had a much better room, with a quiet air conditioner. The cot was actually very comfy! Pool- Carla did a great job running the entertainment. Every morninging my daughter grabbed loungers at the bottom pool for the 3 of them and quieter loungers at the middle pool for my sister and I. I think they are still sorting out their niche- are they a rowdy party place or more for older folk who prefer less loud music??! We preferred the middle pool where it was quieter except on the days the DJ was at the middle pool-please only have the music at the bottom pool as it was too loud- we ended up wearing ear plugs. The pool party got wild and the alcohol flowed. My kids (29-34) had a great time! The waiters at the pools were excellent *(we did tip generously) Miam Vice are my favorite. You can get Nachos, Quesidillas or pizza at the pools for lunch. Beach- beautiful, but too wavy and windy to swim the week we were there. Food- I am not a Buffet fan- the buffet was good. You can order omelets from the waiter in the morning. We often went for a late night snack. Restaurants- we ate at St Trop, Frantinnis and the Teppanyaki place My DIL is celiac and she did really well, except one morning she has a few bits of a yogurt with cereal in it as they were not labled properly. St Trop- loved the poolside Quesidilla . Frantinni's was good- we at there twice. Ivan was our waiter, he brought L special gluten free buns and dessert. Teppanyaki was good- they used the gluten free soy sauce for our whole table. Overall we had a good week with a few minor issues.

the gym smells badly of rubber not useable, the 4 pm Zumba was cancelled 6 days out of 9 the entertainment team said by their boss the rooms are very lovely the activities are focused on drinking for adults 18-22 A lot of the guests are well educated and retired active adults so more activities/entertainment should be catered to them
