Beautiful Property (But Bring Bug Spray)
wolffpack14 (Medina, Ohio) on Oct 03, 2024
Wow, this place was great. The staff was super nice, the hotel, grounds, and room was clean and very relaxing. I was here on a business trip but extended my stay and had family come for a few days to enjoy this wonderful property. The multiple pools, waterslides, and activities were wonderful. Rock climbing, boat trip to private island/beach while seeing dolphins all included (and a must). The photos really do not do justice on how nice this place is BUT there were a couple things that I did not care for. 1) Bugs (outdoor bite you kind). I know, its Florida, but something uring our stay either outside by the pool or on the private beach ate us all alive. BRING BUG SPRAY. 2) Paid parking. When spending this much for a proerty to only be charged MORE for a parking space is very annoying. I still give this place a 5-star review and would love to be able to visit again someday.
Return to the Hyatt after 14 years

Recently spent 5 days in September at the Hyatt on holiday. Three adults staying in a queen double balcony room. It's been 14 years since we last visited the Hyatt @ Coconut Point. We got married here in 2010. I have to say that the hotel and grounds are looking good. We really enjoyed our stay here. Some main pros and minor cons; Cons: - Some of the outside space does need a touch of paint, replacement of files etc... - Service to clean up empty plastic cups and towels could have been better sometimes made the place look so untidy - I thought the food outside and in the restaurant was expensive but maybe the inflation thing in the US had something to do with this. - Gym - free weights and machines were good, shame about the cardio machines. These really need updating as most looked ~5-10 years old! - Disappointed that upon raising the fact that we were married in the hotel that we got nothing back i.e. I wasn't looking for an upgrade but some small recognition would have been really nice - nothing - even when we mentioned it in Tarpon Bay! Pros: - The room was absolutely lovely, decor, space, technology, view, etc.. really nice - The inclusion of breakfast in the hotel booking was a god send. Breakfast here was plentiful and really good. - New slides and lazy river - really good We didn't visit the island and during the week it was pretty quiet compared to the weekend (just the time of year). All-in-all relaxing and great stay.

It has been awhile since we have vacationed at this gorgeous resort. From the minute you walk into the lobby you smell that beautiful aroma and are welcomed with a glass of champagne. The landscaping is so nice and tropic. All the pools, lazy river and slides are extremely clean and so much fun to spend time at everyone of them. We always enjoy taking the elevator down to the pool grounds as you walk through a tunnel with a beautiful mural on the walls. It's like walking thru the ocean (picture below). The Cork Screw pool bar has very good food, plenty to drink and very nice servers. Mangroves is a nice lounge and also has very good food. Our server Cierra was wonderful. She took very good care of us and was so nice to talk too! Thursday, the day of hurricane Helene, the hotel closed down all the pools and had all the entrances/exits closed and sandbagged, except the front lobby. You were free to come and go. Understandably as they wanted to keep all the guests safe from the storm. One of the best things to do is to take the ferry over to the beach. We saw dolphins every morning riding along the ferry. It was such a great way to start the day. The beach is beautiful and you practically have it all to yourself. Not crowded at all and very clean. Wonderful vacation!

We went to Hyatt to get away from the flooding in our area due to hurricane. Karen accommodated everything and made us welcome. Thank you so much!! Such a blessing.

YSC / TDP Cancer summit. Hyatt provided rooms, conference facilities and services for the cancer awareness summit for young women dealing with breast cancer. The services served all at a very high level of service. Thank you Hyatt.
