Overpriced for what you get, topped up with average service

chupran (Brisbane, Australia) on Sep 07, 2024

While centrally located, it is certainly not near the beach and therefore could be confusing for first time visitors, given the Waikiki Beach address. When one checks into a 4 star property one would expect basic amenities like crockery. Be prepared to be surprised/disappointed as all one would get are paper cups. Rooms were fine, but if one’s room is on one of the lower floors, be prepared to put up with tepid (at best) water for one’s showers. The advise from the resident engineer was to let the water run for 5-10 minutes before showers (very sustainable). Cleaning service took some organising too. Certainly one to miss on future trips

Piss poor hotel room and below average staff

rmenon13 (Sydney, Australia) on Sep 07, 2024

Facilities are adequate in terms of appearance and cleanliness However the hot water doesn’t work -it’s like a weak stream akin to someone with prostate issues. 3 separate visits from engineers couldn’t fix this and the advice was to turn the taps on for half an hour prior to use. This resulted in a lukewarm dribble that even Luke wouldn’t be proud of. Additionally the housekeeping. We gave staff and housekeepers 3 2-3 hour windows where we wouldn’t be in the rooms and each day -but yet the housekeepers came to our rooms when we were in them I mean it’s a pretty basic thing to get right and something we consistently told reception staff yet they failed to get right over 10 nights… Just a pretty below average hotel 2/3 star category that is not worth the $600 dollar a night that you have to unfortunately pay. Stay away from this place!
