Princess Kaiulani Waikiki

Excellent hotel. Have stayed several times. Karen a Splash Bar server is outstanding. She makes you feel like family. Mike, a bartender is also excellent and like a good friend. The restaurant service is excellent because of people like Liz (Elizabeth), Olivia, Julia, Susan and others. Michelle a night reception clerk was also very helpful. Memories made here will last a lifetime because of wonderful people like this. They definitely embody the real spirit of Aloha!
Nice hotel in a great location

I've got to say, I actually enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We booked somewhat last minute and they didn't price gauge as much as I thought they would, which was quite pleasant. There are a few pros and cons that I noted. The cons: The room itself was a bit dirty right off the bat. We arrived from the airport and went straight into the bathroom to freshen up. The very first towel I pulled off the wall had long black hairs stuck to the back. I thought, "ok, maybe things happen" and just let that go. The floor didn't seem to have been vacuumed as there was sand and crumbs when we first entered. We put some of our clothes in the dresser and the next morning they smelled very bad. The dresser needs to be cleaned/aired out because the smell is a bit over the top. The last con was that the AC units outside are very loud and the doors don't close/seal all the way. Therefore, we were kept up all night by the loud AC, cars, honking, sirens, and the smoke wafting in from the neighbors balcony next door. There is also no free breakfast, as some other hotels offered. The Pros: We enjoyed our stay here because the bed was actually really comfortable. It wasn't too hard like some others we experienced in the Waikiki area that left us with back problems. We paid for a city view room, but were surprised to see a tiny slice of the ocean to the left of our balcony. We received a free goPro rental, which we used to go ziplining at Kualoa Ranch. The AC kept the room perfectly cool, and the room had a fridge and a safe. The Splash Bar downstairs had great food, just make sure to be there by 8:45 for the last seating or you'll have to go elsewhere.
