This is a very nice resort - staff super friendly and helpful - sadly we got put in a back room overlooking a car park whereas if you got a front room you had a view of ocean. Food was good however as an Australian having to pay state tax and then gratuity it became expensive particularly when Aussie dollar was so low against US dollar. Pool was very refreshing.
Very nice hotel in a great location

We enjoyed our stay during our short visit after our Hawaiian cruise. The check-in process was quick with a lovely welcome. Our room was decorated nicely with a clean white theme. The bathroom seemed like it could use an update but nothing critical.
The Splash bar was nice to have breakfast at until the birds became annoying and a bit of a concern as they went after food.
The location of this hotel is great! The beach is across the street and there are many eateries to choose from. We found two exceptional Japanese restaurants for lunch and dinner nearby, Restaurant Suntory and Furusato Sushi.
If you are a shopper, there are some major malls and high end stores surrounding this area.
We would definitely come back to this hotel. I like the fact that it is not a mega hotel with several towers where you lose the personal touch. The area is walkable and we conveniently took the bus to Pearl Harbor.

Just had 5 nights at this hotel. As platinum elite was allocated a high room on the 28th floor premium ocean view I booked standard ocean view. This is a really good hotel. A special shout out to Teresita who took care of the housekeeping in my part of the hotel. She was lovely and took great care and pride in her job. This would be my third visit post covid and things are pretty much back to pre covid except the breakfast and dinner offering. Pre covid an awesome buffet was available for both of these. When you're a cereal coffee and toast kinda guy and you can't get cereal but have to buy it and bring it with you I think that's an issue. All staff encountered from reception to pool to bar and servers were lovely and happy to help. The only reason you didn't get 5 stars was the BYO cereal situation. I hope to be back at Christmas :)
Good hotel, though noisy at night

Overall it is a comfortable hotel, reasonably priced for Waikiki standards, with an outstanding central location. It is located in a very central area of Waikiki, just a few steps away from the beach and the main shopping areas. The lobby and pool areas are welcoming, very large, well lit, and very well maintained. There is a bar next to the pool which always seemed to be busy, and on occasion it features musicians and other performances.
The rooms could use an upgrade, though overall they were comfortable and the views were impressive. I appreciated the fact that the walls weren't paper thin, so we didn't really hear sounds from adjacent guests at any point.
The only major issue I found with the hotel was that the rooms don't have soundproof windows. Being so close to the main strip, it gets very noisy at from cars driving down the main road in Waikiki, street performers, entertainers at the adjacent International Marketplace, etc. This hotel is not ideal for light sleepers.
Another drawback is that the parking lot building doesn't have an elevator, so if you park a car there and you're not lucky enough to find a spot in the lower floors, you'll find yourself climbing several flights of stairs.
Overall, good value for the price paid as long as the noise at night doesn't bother you, or you're able to block it off for your sleep.
Decent hotel, across the street from Waikiki Beach

We had two premium ocean-view rooms on the 24th floor with a great view of the ocean and Diamond Head. The beds were extremely comfortable! Loved the pillows, too! The shower temperature was a little confusing to regulate, but we figured it out after a couple of days. Housekeeping took great care of the room. We had prepaid for the room through delta vacations and were surprised that we had a $1,000 bill at check out for resort fees and parking. You don't get much for the resort fees, and $45 a day for parking is high, considering the difficulty parking in the small garage. Every night we returned, we were told to drive around the “lot full” sign and look for a spot, which we found but was not easy.
All in all, we did have an enjoyable stay. The location is good, only lacking direct beach access. The biggest complaint we have is the elevators. There were four for the tower, but it took several tries to get one each time and was awkward because new people would walk up and jump in the elevator before we could enter. Our previous visit to Waikiki was better, as we stayed across the street at the Outrigger. We also received a welcome drink and hot towels at the Outrigger, not at the Sheraton.
