Disappointed with Management Changes
haileythegolden (Edmonton, Canada) on Feb 04, 2023
The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani is our go to hotel in Waikiki. We stayed 17 nights on this visit and are Bonvoy Titanium members. However we were very disappointed that the hotel management took away the option of a hot breakfast sandwich for elite Bonvoy members and the 15% discount for food at the splash bar. We also noticed that management decisions toward customer service is more inflexible. Compared to the many other Sheratons I stay at world wide, this hotel offers the fewest titanium benefits. The hotel should offer better rates for long term stays and better breakfast options. On the positive side the staff are the hotels greatest asset. From Tam, and Floyd and all the pool staff , they are friendly, accommodating and helpful. We really enjoyed the beach chairs. The entire pool staff are great. We had 4 issues with maintenance in our room and Randy really stood out to fix our maintenance problems. We see Rocky and Richard every morning for breakfast at the splash bar and they greet us with a smile every morning and offer the best service. We really like the pastry chefs scones. We were impressed with our housekeeper and there hard work. We really enjoy the nightly entertainment at the splash bar. Our favourite staff member is Karen at the splash bar who always greets us with a warm hug and smile whom we have gotten to know in the last few years We like the location of the hotel, close to the beach, international market place, access to the bus, and all that Waikiki has to offer.
One of the best places to stay!

We’ve been staying here due to it’s great location. Parking is great with in and out access. All the hotel staff are wonderful especially our housekeeper, Lorna. She made our stay extra special. She made sure we had everything we needed in our room and never hesitated when we needed her assistance. She went above and beyond her duties to make us feel at home. We could not have asked for a better housekeeper. Lorna, if you ever read this, thank you for the memorable stay!

Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable! Housekeeping staff is great.especially Lorna C. She took real good care of us and made our stay very pleasant! The hotel restaurant can use some work! The food coming from the kitchen were incomplete! They we not served as the menu stated! I highly recommend the hotel but stay away from the splash restaurant! There are plenty of restaurants in the area that are much better!!
good Waikiki hotel

Overall, this is a good choice for a hotel if you want to be in the heart of Waikiki but with a better rate than the fancier hotels across the street. I recommend an ocean view room, however, there is a drawback to rooms closer to the street. The noise of cars and street performers could be heard from my corner room on the 11th floor. The street performers do quit by 10pm. The pool area below the rooms can also have noise issues. I had to call the front desk at 1:45am to have them turn off their music playing by the poolside. To their credit, it was turned off immediately after I called. I felt these issues were minor, and I would stay here again because of the location and well-kept hotel, lobby, and pool area. You do get a great Hawaiian feel at this hotel without the pricier cost of the nearby hotels.
Kudos to Bell Desk Staff

Reception staff and pool staff were friendly and accommodating. Melvin at Bell Desk was extremely helpful. He helped with our bags, gave us tips on places to eat and gave us directions. Location is wonderful as it is walking distance to shopping and food.
