Sheraton Princess Kaiulani – A Truly Exceptional Stay
Discover22661862500 on Dec 03, 2025
Our stay at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani was nothing short of incredible. The location could not be more perfect—just a half-block from Waikiki Beach and only steps away from the International Market Place and countless restaurants. It’s hard to find a hotel that strikes the balance between convenience, comfort, and genuine Hawaiian hospitality the way this one does. From the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded expectations. When checking in, we were greeted by Floyd, a bellman who turned what could have been a chaotic arrival—traveling with my parents and my brother and sister’s families—into a smooth, memorable welcome. His warmth and attention made us feel like he wasn’t just helping our family… he became part of our family. As a Lifetime Titanium member, I’ve stayed at countless Marriott properties, but Floyd’s hospitality stands out as truly exceptional. I also had the pleasure of working with Tammy at the front desk. My sister arrived later in the day, and Tammy ensured she was taken care of immediately. Her professionalism and kindness made me feel valued and genuinely appreciated. Each morning, we enjoyed breakfast where Liz, the hostess, greeted us with a smile and remembered us after just one day. Little touches like that make a huge difference and reflect the heart and soul of this hotel. Being born and raised in Hawaii and now living on the mainland, staying here brought back so many memories. The Sheraton Princess Kaiulani has a beautiful way of feeling like a modern take on the old-school Hawaiian hotels I grew up with—warm, welcoming, and full of character. To all the staff who made our stay amazing: thank you. This is a fantastic hotel, and you will not be disappointed staying here. We can’t wait to return January.
Next to construction project - super noisy

We had to check out after two nights. They are doing construction next-door and starting from 5 AM on the dot. The construction noise was terribly disruptive and we couldn’t sleep. Our room was on the 14th floor and it was still catching all the street noise and all the noise from the high-rise construction. In addition, the room was really tired and really in desperate need of a refresh. Possibly the worst looking Sheraton room I’ve stayed in.
Probably Won't Stay Again Due to Staff Interaction

The Splash Bar staff was very disappointing. "Manager" with red, curly hair felt entitled to change my last name to make it easier for HER and tried to correct my pronunciation of açaí - which was right - while she mispronounced it. Guy at take out let a woman go ahead of me after I'd been waiting a long time. Lastly, Herb worked the bar & takeout. He couldn't hear me on the phone and was rude. Maybe he shouldn't work the phone when the band is playing. Funny how I got sick after eating my order but wasn't sick before or after during my trip, just saying. Room was very dusty, bed uncomfortable & towels smelly but all was corrected quickly. HOWEVER the view from the lanai was absolutely stunning and that was very important to me! Finally after calling twice, Rudy finally came to my room to fix a rattling door that kept me up all night & didn't say one word just went straight to broken door. No hello, intro, recap of incident, nothing, very disrespectful! There were a lot of things like this that added stress to a vacation that was all about wellness but I will say Jerry at the front desk was great as was Chan in housekeeping!
OMG, please don't

This is the loudest hotel I have stayed in my life. I might as well have been sleeping on the street. I paid extra to be in the higher tower, with updated room and on a high floor. Still, I was constantly woken up by traffic or loud street performers, with my noise cancelling machine and ear plugs on! I asked them to move me and I checked out two alternative rooms. One was in the same tower and the other was in the lower tower. I opted for the lower tower, which was marginally quieter, but still quite loud. I think the issue with the higher tower is that the sliding glass door is very old and does a poor job of insulating sound. The lower tower room, although more dated, at least had more solid doors. So basically, I paid a premium for a more dated room and they didn't even compensate me for it to put salt on the wounds. I am surprised there are not more reviews about this. If sleep is important to you, find another hotel.
Expected more!

The location of this hotel is great. The lobby very nice and cool beach enviorment. The room however is small and the bathroom even smaller. Also, the check-in process at the lobby is slow and confusing!
