Parking signage and rude front desk clerk (Noah)

cathydrumspa (Hollywood, Florida) on Mar 20, 2026

We were in room 3631. Noah provided us with a map at check-in and explained how to get to our room, although the signage was terrible. I recommend that a sign for each building be placed at the location where the guest swipes for parking access (no fault of Noah). Also, when checking out, Noah was rude when I asked him to explain the charges on my folio that I had received in my email. He didn't answer my question just proceeded to say "I'll just print it so you can see for yourself." I ended up having the same question that he had to answer at that point. I also asked him how I get the gift for being a Gold Rewards member that I received via email. He said, "I don't know anything about that. Who sent you the email?" I said I would have to check my email on my phone. He then said, " Well, you need to move over to the side of the desk while I take care of the people in line, while you look for it." It only took me less than a minute to find the email.

Wonderful trip! Beautiful beach.

Teri S on Mar 13, 2026

My husband and I spent 11 days at this resort and throughly enjoyed it. The people are wonderful. Everyone from check-in to housekeeping and the servers went out of their way to be helpful. We stayed in the Moana Tower which we loved, but it is quite a walk to the pool and beach. We sat on our balcony and watched whales, turtles and even a seal. The rooms are a little dated, but worked well for us. We would happily return and stay there.

Location is great however pricey

lauriemI963FK (Plainville, Connecticut) on Mar 08, 2026

Very beautiful hotel. However, very expensive. There is only 1 breakfast place which is a minimal buffet at $46 pp. When we were there there was only 1 place for dinner as one was under renovation. The food was good but again on the pricey side and if your staying for a week you kinda get bored with the same menu. The staff and housekeeping were impeccable and our room was beautiful. The pool was great but lacked options for seating everyone.

So glad we went with the Sheraton again!

NYTravelingAddict (New York, NY) on Feb 23, 2026

This was our third visit to the Sheraton Maui, and the first with kids. We booked the Ohana doubles suite, which worked well. there was a sliding door that separated the living room and bedroom. A regular door connects the bedroom and large bathroom, with another door between the bathroom and living room. The bathroom had a tub/shower combo plus a separate shower so 2 kids could shower at the same time. The toilet was in a separate room. There was a mini kitchenette that included a mini fridge, microwave, small sink and cupboard. We used instacart to order breakfast foods from Safeway. There was a sliding door that led to the lanai. I wish there was an option to scan our room key to get in through this door. The room worked well for our needs but wish there was an option for 2 queen beds. The laundry room is at the other side of the resort in the building next to the shaved ice. It's $5 for a wash and $5 for the drier and takes credit cards. There were 2 washers (3rd was out of order) and 3 driers. I brought my own pods so don't know how much theirs was. We enjoyed the lei making and the kids loved the pools especially the slide. There is poolside food and beverage service. One bar has happy hour from 3 to 5 while the other was 10 to 12pm. One bar also closed at 4pm. The pools were cold, but the kids still loved playing in them. There are water bottle filling stations outside the 2 pool restrooms, which was really helpful. Staff were always friendly and housekeeping came early (9am) so it was nice to come back to a clean room midday. Lamonts came in really handy when my sunglasses broke in my carry on and when I needed spf chapstick. Also I saw an Enterprise car rental office next door to the store. Whalers Village was about a 10 to 15 min walk with our kids. We loved the Sheraton and look forward to returning again one day! We passed by some other hotels I had considered, but were so glad we stuck with the Sheraton for its large pools, service and resort feel.

You Won't Get Nearly What You Paid For

Zip0809 on Feb 21, 2026

My husband and I went on a group tour to Hawaii for 9 days and 3 Islands. This was our first time in Hawaii and we were so happy and excited. Maui was our last stop. Upon checking in, our "ocean view" room was not - in our opinion - "ocean view". We were on the second floor, so not very high, and the entire left side of the balcony was blocked by a banana tree - planted so close that I could have reached out and picked the bananas. The rest of the view - from the far right of the balcony overlooked a lot of green space, several "huts" (housing bars, pool towels, excursion checkpoints) and in the far distance, you could see a sliver of ocean. I was upset and went to the front desk to let them know. I stated that I was not really happy with the room and asked if he could help. I gave him the room number and he stated "You booked ocean view. Most of the ocean view rooms are partially obscured. If you had wanted the ocean, you should have booked ocean front." That was it - a snotty answer with no offer of help. I was getting more upset by the minute and asked if he could check for other rooms and he replied "Well, we're pretty full, but I suppose I COULD look", like I was imposing on him. He made me feel like a 2nd class citizen. I gave up. I was going to enjoy the last 3 days of my vacation. Well - let me tell you - the ceiling over the sliding door had a crack, which blew out on the 2nd night. The carpet was wet from the leaking A/C and the available electrical outlets were so worn that my phone charger wouldn't even stay in. Oh - and housekeeping didn't make it to our room until 5:30PM. With all the hotels and resorts available on Maui, DON'T stay at the Sheraton.
