Ballys Lost their touch

I used to love this place and we stay here yearly for a guys UFC and sports betting weekend. This trip I booked 3 rooms for the three of us. 1: Check in is at 3. I get in at 1:30 and check to see if a room is available. Lady behind the counter said yes, but it is an extra $40 to get to your room 90 mins early. I pass. 2: I go to check back in at 2:50, now we have a 30 min wait for the kiosks. I get to the front but it doesn't work because I have three reservations. I talk to a guy with a handle bar mustache, he tells me I am in the wrong line and go stand in the longer line in a different area if I have three rooms. I told him I don't see anywhere it tells me to do that. His response is: "well I would of told you but I am not a mind reader". 3. They closed the sports book and moved it to a counter. The reason why we pick Ballys is because of the sports book. They had one small casino bar with seats to watch football which was obviously over packed. So we had to go to Bellagio for sports betting. I talked to a couple employees at the "betting counter" and they said people are complaining everyday but no one is going to do anything about it. 4. Security was not checking room keys before they got into the elevator. BE CAREFUL! 5. Playing craps, the dealer kept yelling at me for touching the felt (not against the rules). She then got a supervisor because I didn't hit the wall with the dice. She checked and had seen I was hitting the wall. The dealer then started laughing at me when I missed my point. I pulled a supervisor aside and told her, she told me it was her first day dealing craps and they should probably remove her. 6. No real food options anymore unless you walk to Paris. I have enjoyed staying at Ballys and have stayed there A LOT over the years. I am not going to say this is the last time I am staying there. But I see this hotel as a cheaper option if I am on that side of town for a conference, and nothing else.
Rodeo in Vegas

Loved our time in Vegas.... what a great city for the NFR! Stayed at Bally's, clean, comfortable rooms, can't complain about rooms. Hotel is in a great location on the strip, making walking possible if you want or Uber/taxis reasonable. Hotel while being clean and safe is pretty basic for amenities, eats, shopping - not a deal breaker. It is connected to Paris(nice) which offers much more along those lines if wanted. The price for Bally's is usually right, just don't plan on spending a lot of time there unless gambling is your main focus.
