Total Shock!

I8324XMvanessac on Sep 23, 2021

I have been staying at this Harrahs for many years and NEVER had a complaint but this time....total shock! Yes, my room was very nice but NO refrigerator (people are on insulin that has to be refrigerated) I requested a room facing the strip, McDonalds, Subway and a Hotdog place is certainly not the strip! The few people that were thee to check you in acted as if it was a problem "go to the Kiosh". NO, Ive been gambling at Casears properties for over25 years! No, water in the room. When I go in the Diamond check-in and ask for water (I have medication to take) "oh let me see if I have any.....I guess I gave my last one out." Are you serious? I didn't see one machine hit a jackpot! No coins to return, this is a great way for Harrahs to make more money because nothing tells you, you have to take the ticket to the cashier and why would I wait in the cashier line when they only have 2 people working and the line is wrapped around the wall and even though I was in the Diamond line they kept taking the people who were lower than Diamond.

Coinless machines!?

nancyf612 (Phoenix) on Sep 23, 2021

Harrahs is usually a good place to stay and gamble - clean facilities, decent rooms, great staff. However, they recently implemented a no change policy. Specifically, the redemption machines will not dispense any coins. You receive a receipt that states (in tiny print) that you need to go to the cashier to receive your change. Sure, walk all the way over to the cashier to get your 26 cents. A lot of people were wadding up the receipt and throwing it away. People were going through the trash to find receipts. Then, you go to the cashier cage where (surprise!!) there was a huge line. It takes forever for them to redeem your receipt. People were not happy. The poor cashiers, although professional, were very busy and frantically trying to orb as quickly as possible. I’m sure there were thousands of dollars worth of unredeemed receipts daily. The “official” excuse was coin shortage. Yeah, sure. Someone in “corporate” came up with this idea to save on labor by not having to service the redemption machines as often, plus knowing that many people were not going to redeem those pissant receipts. There was not sign on the redemption machines advising you that it would not dispense coins. I’m sure this was deliberate. This “policy” needs to go away.
