Reviews
A great stay indeed.

We had stayed at Harrahs on previous trips and despite some recent poor reviews on TrioAdvisor, we wanted to try it again. And yes, we were not disappointed. Despite being early, we were not charged an early check in which was a bonus. They do have a self check in but we waited for one of the front desk staff and in no time, were on out way to our room. We were in room 11048 in the Valley Tower. The room had a partial Strip and mountain view. The room was modern and comfortable with one king size bed. We had requested a in room fridge for medications and this was delivered to our room within 15 minutes of walking in. We had opted for no room service as we were only staying 5 days. I had read a number of complaints about the shower spraying onto the bathroom floor as the shower screen was too short. Simple solution - point the shower head slightly towards the back wall and no flooded bathroom. Easy. There are 2 Starbucks in the casino, one near reception and the other near the front doors out to the Linq. This one is open later and in the morning is much less crowded. Shops for basic food items are souvenirs are located near reception, If you want a feed, Fulton Street Food Hall is in the casino. They offer a number of choices from Thai, burgers, pizza , bagels etc. As for gambling, the casino isn’t huge by Vegas standards but my wife had some good payouts on the pokies. They also have a number of table games. There is a piano/karaoke bar which can definitely get rowdy as the night wears on. One other complaint I had read was the elevators are slow. Of the 6 that ran in the Valley Tower, we never waited more than a couple of minutes at any time.
Few Front Desk Employees/No Help Checking In

Harrah's is slashing labor and automating as many guest services as possible, much to our inconvenience. Upon checking in (I reserved online weeks prior and requested a room as close to elevator as possible because I have walking/mobility issues) the one young lady handling the entire front desk refused to assist me. She sarcastically told me, "I only help Diamond and Seven Stars player card holders. You have to use the kiosk!" I explained to her the kiosk could not understand or handle my request for room location. She (Jennifer) refused to help me. So sad. Las Vegas used to hang its hat on service and making travelers feel welcome. I will never stay at Harrah's again.
