Good Choice for a Vegas Convention
Gary H (Kingston, New York) on Sep 30, 2023
I stayed at the Westgate Resort and Casino in Las Vegas for two nights to attend a convention. It's a rather large property that sprawls with a busy casino on the ground floor. It's convenient to the convention center. The resort offers a shuttle to the Strip, which is close by. My room was modern with a comfortable bed. Elevators were a challenge my first morning because it seemed one was out of order so I took the stairs. Staff is friendly and accommodating. If you're in Vegas for fun you might be better off in a property on the Strip. However, this is a perfect hotel if you're in town for a convention meeting.
Stay elsewhere if you have the option

My husband and I came here for a competition meet and reserved on their set of blocked rooms 6 months in advanced. At check in there were no more King Rm and only double beds left so if we wanted one we had to pay $30/nt extra for an upgrade. We had a lot of bags with gear and originally wanted the King so we we annoyingly upgraded. If this was an upgraded room I feel bad who got the other king rooms. It was pretty clean, but there were some off things. The curtains were stapled to the wall on one end. But wasn’t flush to the wall leaving gaps between each staple so blackout curtains was worthless. There was also a bright flash in the room that spontaneously went off that kept waking me up in the night. Thought I was going crazy but my husband caught it too. And it’s not a little blip light, I first thought it was a camera flash. The newly renovated shower had missing/shattered tile, and the top rainfall shower head leaks cold water on you when using the other shower head. Also, the hotel doesn’t offer hyper allergenic pillows. So allergy sufferers need to bring their own and have them change the sheets when you check in since down is all that is offered and already on the beds. Our keys kept deactivating. Which is annoying when only a few elevators are working and have to wait in a long line to go up to your room, then wait another 30 min to try to get back down. We did address these issues at checkout and they at least took off the upgrade fee. We did not eat at the hotel as we had a list of places we wanted to try. Parking was complimentary and overall the hotel seemed clean. We will not be coming back and we will not be referring anyone to this hotel.

Perfect Hotel! Cleaning everyday, friendly staff. We loved Mr. Westgate. No coffee in the room and a Lot of Timeshare offer but they respect your decision. The pool is amazing, the view too. We Will be back for sure! The restaurants are all fabulous and delicious. The valet parking is easy and FREE!
Exceptional customer service

Beyond impressed with Westgate’s customer service. Tyler T. assisted me with check-in, and when we had an issue with our room (we exchanged our Mexican timeshare for our stay in Vegas and were expecting a larger room) he was helpful, friendly, and delivered over and above what we were expecting. I hate being that person who complains but when I shared the issue, he offered different ideas and we came up with a good solution in the end. Great experience and very happy with our choice to stay here!
Greeter

We came for a preview of the facility. Greeter Gemna was very sweet and attentive, even when another customer was very unkind to her. It is a little too cold in the waiting area for our liking though!
