Following American Hotel & Lodging Association's (AHLA) recent announcement of its "Safe Stay Guest Checklist"—and following medical expert guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19—all Hyatt hotels in the U.S. and Canada will require face coverings within indoor public areas beginning Monday, July 27, for the foreseeable future.
Public areas may include hotel lobbies, meetings and events spaces, restaurants and bars, and fitness centers. Some guests may be exempt from this mandate, including but not limited to guests with medical conditions, guests consuming food or beverages in restaurants, and children under the age of 2.

The Grand Hyatt staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating for any thing we needed or wanted. We didn’t have our kids with us but we took full advantage of their fabulous pool and water slide. Their pool is hands down the best on this part of the island.
Grounds are 6 Star, Room updates are 3 Star, ALL food experience is 1 Star

Room fees (excluding food) were $1,000 per night for our Ocean View room. NOTE: be prepared for tons of walking at this resort! That price point creates an expectation even before you arrive. While the grounds exceeded the expectations the room condition & furnishings were very dated and worn and more like a 3 star hotel. While the vibe of the dining areas was great the food itself was consistently poor at every venue with every meal. At an average of $50+/meal per adult that's not acceptable. Ironically some of the best food was at pool side! I Wish we would have discovered the morning breakfast options at Seabreeze on day one vs day six. At seabreeze you literally get the same bagel with lox for $12 vs the $21 you pay in the restaurants. That may make sense to someone just not us! The food issue is real with no other real options nearby... we didn't have a rental car except for 1 day mid week (we did use it to escape the restaurants that day and had some great meals off site). Maid service of the rooms is only available 1x ever 4 days using covid as an excuse. Of course again the 1K/night did not reflect this lowered service. The Concierge staff was great and everyone was nice and pleasant. If only issue was lake of room updates this would have could have still been a 4-5 star experience.
