Affordable, comfortable family hotel

We always do a high - moderate experience, and this was our “moderate” hotel. We also stayed at the One hotel in Kauai during this day. The first thing I will say is that this hotel exceeded our expectations and in the end, for the price, the Sheraton supersedes the One Hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and seem genuinely happy, unlike One Hotel. We had a room facing the ocean, which was spectacular. The hotel is within walking distance to Poipu Village, which offers some other dining options.
Deluxe Oceanfront View Room

The oceanfront deluxe room made this stay incredible. We were in the Ocean Wing and the view from the balcony was incredible, we loved having our own happy hour on our lanai. We had the valet option, but the ocean wing is so close to self parking that we found it convenient to use. We didn't use the pool much. It seemed busy during the day but was fairly empty around dinner time. We did a mix of activities around the island and found this location to be convenient. I'm not sure the price point would have been worth it for other rooms that didn't have ocean view. Staff were helpful and friendly at check-in. Overall, it was a nice stay.
