I wish there were a way to rank this delightful hotel 4.5, because it was almost a 5.

MarriedWidow (Houghton, Michigan) on Feb 22, 2024

This was the most expensive hotel I ever stayed in; it was also one of my most memorable architectural experiences. The view from our 30th floor matched their impressive interior design throughout this extraordinary Los Angeles landmark where I had wanted to stay for decades. Their staff were equally spectacular. Everyone associated with this hotel made me believe they wanted me to enjoy their workplace as much as they took pride in being part of a team of first-rate hospitality professionals. We especially were delighted with our affordable dinners at the Lobby Court; my husband said his chicken fajita was one of the tastiest ones he's ever eaten. I appreciated their servers. We arrived exhausted and hungry, and their recommendations and thoughtful actions left us relaxed and satisfied. I ranked it a four instead of a five because I couldn't rate it 4.5. This place and its employees are terrific, but I am frugal, and it was as fabulous as the handful of "5-rated" hotels that were half what I paid to stay here.

Nice hotel conveniently located in DTLA

bopqueen (Escondido, California) on Feb 22, 2024

We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin Bonaventure for a long weekend. The lobby is expansive with nice water features. There is also a 24 hour coffee shop. The front desk was friendly and able to accommodate our request to have our rooms close together. My daughters loved the elevators that “broke through the roof” and took us outside to deliver us to our floor. The beds were comfy but the rooms were a little outdated. The pool area was nice, but the pool was not heated and there is no hot tub. We also enjoyed our visit to the revolving lounge, which had spectacular LA views. Overall a wonderful stay and we would recommend.

They took care of my large conference group very well!

Fantastic, iconic building often used in movies. Great glass elevators, lovely rooms, delicious food, decent pool, cocktails, shops, spa, restaurants, and even a revolving lounge and restaurant on the 35th floor. Great city views! Very attentive staff.

Nice Lobby, Outdated Rooms

breezyjagg (Dallas, Texas) on Jan 21, 2024

I came this weekend for a concert and stayed here because it was close to the venue. Couldn’t wait to check out. I will not be back. Only giving two stars for the views and the lobby. Not a comparable Marriott Bonvoy property, as I am an Elite member. Pros: nice lobby and outside design, starburcks/bar staff (brett, bartender), wonderful views, Bonavista Revolving Lounge Cons: very outdated rooms, stale musty smell, old carpet and bedding, wi-fi does not work at all and no option to pay for enhanced wi-fi, no smart TV, food in Bonavista lounge served cold and overpriced

outdated hotel , poor staff, good views

vanitha s on Jan 20, 2024

The hotel old, sort of outdated and seems on its way downhill.....the only 2 positive things were the views from the room and the breakfast. .... the staff at the reception were surly and almost incapable of even a pretense of a smile or courtesy or friendliness..... it was like they were doing you a favour by even looking at you or speaking.... especially Sakura..... but all were the same....the manager Cassam? was not efficient or friendly..... didnt know where events or rooms were and seemed incapable of finding out. the many services or restaurants or shops were shuttered and altogether it seemed rundown with old crummy carpewts in the hallways/corridors.... the servers at breakfast ran around, rather bad-tempered or overworked/underpaid/disgruntled....everything in this hotel declared.....RUNDOWN, Poor management.... it desperately needs new management and new staff with proper training
