Great Location, Resort and Staff!!

Pioneer47950729187 on May 04, 2024

First of all, as a Hilton diamond member, I am always so impressed with the amenities and service I receive during my stays and this stay was no different! I am always very grateful for the staff that works so hard to create a comfortable atmosphere away from home! I always try to let them know how much I appreciate all of them and make them feel appreciated! And mainly it's because I always feel that in every Hilton that I stay at and this one was so amazing! Thank you AMANDA BRASHER , front desk Manager, for making me feel like family and for taking time to meet my requests ?? Just staying there as part of a girls group from our church you made us all feel so special!! I really do appreciate that as we all do!! You went above and beyond! Also I want to give a shout out to Jordan at the front desk for being so patient checking us all in! Again it is why I stay with this company, and have been with them for so many years! Thank you for a memorable stay , I'm sure I will be back one day!

Had a Great time here with the wife and dog. Ryan and the valet staff were especially great with my vintage Porsche taking gentle care to accommodate my needs. The hotel and our room were very clean, the staff were friendly. We will be back! Thanks Ryan and crew!

Pretty good

More like a 3.5 but I rounded down. Came for a quick staycation and it was OK. The room was clean but there were definitely places that were worn down, especially in the bathroom. We were in the older Huntington tower and parts of the room like soap dish, corners of the bathroom cabinets, etc were clearly very worn. This might be a safety feature but the water in the bath/shower didn't get very hot, it was kind of annoying to get lukewarm at best when I've been cold. We travel and keep medication that needs to be refrigerated and the fridge wasn't very efficient, it lost all the cool as soon as it was opened/closed so I ended up having to get ice to keep the medication viable since the fridge was unreliable. I feel like the whole hotel kind of nickel and dimed you, and some cheap tricks were in place like offering the $8 water bottle up front and the free bottles down under, though the website says slippers are offered I didn't see any. Flip flops were offered but at a price, etc. We're gold status with Hilton which entitled us to an upgrade which we did not get even though the hotel was pretty empty. I also felt like hospitality was fine, but nothing special or thoughtful. It felt like it was get in-out. This stay wouldn't stand out in my mind. There are two pools, and if you have kids I recommend the one with the water slide, it was much warmer than the other one when the weather is still somewhat chilly. The pools were nearly empty, just some adults in the hot tub and the other pool had a few families but nothing super crowded.

Beautiful property. Top customer service (valet staff and Ryan)

Stayed at the hotel for a conference. Beautiful property and perfect location right across from the beach. One notable highlight was the valet staff. Ryan and his crew were amazing. Gave us great recommendations. Even drove us to a spot with the hotel van. Top notch customer service.

Overpriced

just stayed 4 nights at the Hilton with my family. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite in the Dolphin Tower. The room looked beautiful when we arrived until I saw an old skittle on the rug and also a smart watch near the end of my bed. This is disgusting as I felt my room was not vacuumed. We had two double beds in the bedroom and a pull out sofa in the other room. When we opened the sofa bed that night it was like laying on a hard grid. I called downstairs to reception and they sent up a foam cushion to put on the bed. It helped but still wasn't that comfortable because the bed caved in, in the middle. Also during the day when the bed was folded, there was no where to store the foam pad. The 2 beds were comfortable but the pillows were too firm. The rest of the room was good, I loved the room darkening shades. I was disappointed that I was unable to use the steam room in the spa unless you booked a spa service. For the extra daily rate added to the price of the room, guests should be able to use the sauna or steam room, even if you do not book a spa. They told me it was $60 extra just to use the steam room, no thanks! I checked in on a Wednesday and we were literally the only ones by the pool that day. It was very windy so we sat on the lounge chairs looking at the beach on the waterslide side. The manager came over and told us that was the reserved section and we could not sit there, even though the it was a ghost town. My family of 5 were the ONLY ones by the pool. Why would they charge so much more just to sit in those chairs? We only wanted to sit there because it was not as windy. They have waterslides by the pool which was nice for the kids but everyday they are closed for about an hour mid day so the lifeguard can take a break. This was very annoying, they should have enough staff to cover her break. Overall, I was not that impressed with the hotel for the amount of money I paid, around $600 a night. The manager should have let us stay where we were since there was no one at the pool that day. I think I'll go back to the Hyatt when I visit Huntington next. It was slightly more money but you get a lot more at the hotel. We actually went there twice for dinner and it was excellent!
