Loved Sandals Montego Bay Trip September 2024!

My husband and I spent 8 days 7 nights at Sandals Montego Bay. We selected an Butler level ocean front suite with tranquility tub room level OBT. Overall, this trip was absolutely amazing. The location of the resort to the airport is excellent but does come with the noise of the airplanes arriving and leaving Montego Bay! This was not an issue for us but if you are looking for complete peace and quiet please keep this in mind! Not only is the transfer from the airport less than 10 minutes, but guests here can also take advantage of Sandals Royal Carribean property that is only about five minutes from the resort! The level of hospitality the employees delivered was above any of our expectations. A special shoutout to our butlers Swaby & Chaira. They were extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. The extra touches they continued to provide were always so thoughtful. Some of the special surprises included snacks on the beach and/or in our room at the end of the day, bubble baths prepared for when we came back in from a day on the beautiful beach, and reservations to resort restaurants upon our arrival! They also surprised us on our anniversary with having our beach chairs decorated with a bucket of champagne on ice. We typically consider ourselves to be very low key, so we did not have any requests for our butlers other than reserving our beach chairs daily. They definitely found ways for us to take advantage of their services while respecting our low-key personalities! The food was above average for an all-inclusive! There is a nice variety of restaurant choices that offer a nice array of meal choices to ensure all guests are left satisfied. Our favorite restaurants were Mariners for lunch, Soy, Butch's Steakhouse, and Cucine Romanas for breakfast and dinner. Hotel amenities: Overall, we were very impressed with the gym though some of the cable equipment could be improved/updated. We noticed some of the machines were aged and didn't work properly. nice selection of free weights and cardio. Free water sports: Take advantage of the free water sports! We loved spending our mornings using their kayaks or going out with Kitt, a sandals employee, on the Hobie cat! Kitt was the best! There are many other choices available such as tubing, wind surfing, paddle boards etc. Main pool with pool bar is a little small but we are beach people, so it didn't affect our overall happiness while on the resort. There is a second pool that appeared to be more spacious and is built more for guests who like a quite atmosphere. We also took advantage of the Red Lane Spa during our stay. Spa pricing was a little higher than what we are accustomed to back in the United States, but the couples' massage was amazing, quite possibly one of the best we have ever received. The staff at the spa were quite lovely as well! The resort's grounds were lovely. You can tell that Sandals' employees work extremely hard daily to keep up the grounds. Conditions of the room: housekeeping freshened up the room daily. There were always plenty of towels, hand towels and wash cloths. They will also replenish lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The room was always clean, but we did notice mildew on the ac unit and a couple of corners in the bathroom. The bathroom door does not shut completely. We did not like the small shutters in the shower that opened up to the outdoor walkway. We could hear conversations at times while in the shower or when we were sleeping. Not a huge deal but was a bit strange. I am sure it helps with the moisture issues of being in a very hot and humid climate since there was not a working exhaust fan in the bathroom. The beach and waters were amazing! We spent every day soaking up the views from our chairs! There is a great bar located on the beach surviving drinks from 10am to 6pm daily. The staff there were excellent and very quick to refill our drinks! There were wait staff also coming around to take orders throughout the day. This was our first time visiting Sandals Montego Bay but not our first Sandals trip. We loved the resort so much that we booked another 10 days for 2026. Make sure if you love Sandals as much as we do, book while on property to maximize discounts!

We would like to share our experience with all of you, on our stay at Sandals Montego Bay. Your resort service, cleanliness, appearance, food quality, drinks and activities are excellent. A Five Star rating is well deserved. Your employees are world class and very attentive. To start out with Balvin, who treated my wife and I with respect and a sincere feeling of being welcomed, he is great. Your front desk personnel are grea as well. Your food and beverage staff were excellent. Your pastrie chef especially Cedaine Roee, he went above and beyond in making my wife feel special. He baked for her a wonderful cake and deserts that tasted amazing. He even took a dessert to our restaurant reservation at Butches that was incredible. Thanks for really caring and acomodating her lactose intolerance issue. Again, Your complete staff and resort are amazing
