Wonderful Experience! My husband and I went for our 30th Anniversary. This was our first experience at any Sandals property. Sandals Montego Bay did not disappoint. We booked Club Mobay for arrival and departure. It was definitely worth it. We were at the resort and in our room within one hour of landing. We were greeted upon arrival with cold towels and taken immediately to the club lounge. It was 2 o’clock and we were told our room was ready! Seiana and Shadaine in Club Concierge Lounge explained everything available. Our luggage beat us to the room. Our room was a great location and spotless. We had room 318 Oceanfront Penthouse Club Level Suite. Housekeeping came every day. The room was clean and she swept up the sand on the balcony. I regret not catching our maid’s name. Bayside – we ate breakfast buffet here every day and sat by the window. Café De Paris – went here after dinner for cream puffs and cupcakes. The pizza was good – we had it twice for lunch. Jerk Shack – Amazing! We ate it every day for lunch and snack. Cucina Romana – delicious – we both had the lasagna. It was the best meal we had there. Our waiter Shyon was so friendly. Shyon even introduced us to the chef and brought him to our table. I complemented Chef Taffrie on his amazing dish. We are beach people. We never had a problem finding chairs in the shade. Staff would come by and ask if we needed any drinks. Our last full day we booked a cabana. Best decision! It was so relaxing. Our cabana butlers, Shanika and Aaron were the best! The service they both provided was amazing! Shanika told us to call with the cell phone if we needed anything. We never used it! Shanika and Aaron would check on us – bringing our breakfast, lunch and drinks without asking! Shanika and Aaron made our trip a wonderful experience! All the staff were friendly and the grounds gorgeous. Thank you, Sandals Montego Bay for a memorable anniversary! We would definitely love to return to this resort.

This was our 19th trip to a Sandals as we celebrate our Anniversary every at Sandals. We decided to give Sandals Montego Bay a second chance as we have not stayed there in 15 years. We had a lot of issues our first stay, and they all came back to haunt us again
We had a private car transfer and it was wonderful. Arrived on property at about 1:30pm. Had a warm Sandals welcome and were taken to the club lounge and was told our butler will be with us in five minutes. Almost an hour later butler #1 showed up and took us to our room, a B1B one bedroom butler room in the Poinciana Building. We had room #670 a corner third floor room.
Room A+ View A+++++++ beautiful ocean view that we enjoyed watching the sunset from every evening on our balcony. Nice bathroom with a walk in shower and huge sink. Bed was very comfortable slept well every night. Nice living room space with a sofa and a second flat screen TV. Our butler supplied all the alcohol we requested in our room.
Waited over an hour for our luggage, when it did finally come we only received half and waited another half an hour before that came. Both televisions didn't work and gave a message no internet connection please call the front desk. We called and they said they are working on it. When we got back from dinner the TVs still didn't work. Called the desk again and they said no ones TV's are working. Interesting as we met Chris Elliott the hotel's GM at the VIP lunch the next day and we had asked when all the TV's were being fixed. He was very confused and made a phone call. Guess what? We had TVs when we got back to our room. Just our TV's didn't work. The outlets by the wet bar did not work so we had to make our coffee and tea in the bedroom.
The beverage service never refilled our refrigerator the entire week. The water soda juice wine NEVER replaced.
Housekeeping was the worse at at Sandals we have stayed at. Basically they made the bed, took out the dirty glasses and towels, and changed the garbage. There was soap scum all over the shower window, mirrors and sinks had water spots that were never cleaned, balcony never got swept of sand. The worse part is they would clean our coffee cups, but never replaced the sugar, creamers tea bags or coffee. Four times my husband had to walk down to Cafe de Paris or the lobby to get coffee ect. because we would run out. I even grabbed a bunch of extra stuff from Sandals Royal Caribbean and stashed it in my purse!
Tokyo Joe's excellent! Our stir fry was delicious and we loved chatting with our chef Levon.
VIP lunch was soooo good and enjoyed talking to Chris Elliott and the other guests.
Soy also excellent! Our server Anthony knew how much I love their drink the saki cruise and without asking would replace my drink when needed. Joel the manager was by far the best at any restaurant we dined at. So attentive, was setting tables greeting guests and always checking in with all of us to make sure we were enjoying our meal.
Orleander Room, my favorite restaurant at Mo Bay as we would go over from SSC to dine there every time we stayed there. I had the signature dish the pork cutlets and could not even eat them as they were so overcooked and cold. My husband had the lamb chops and they were very good.
Butch's by far our favorite. Food A++++++++++ Service as well. Dwayne was excellent!
Cusina Romana the chef knows how to cook eggs as our eggs benedict were perfect. Ate there twice,
Buffet style. Went there twice. Both times when seated were asked if we would like coffee or tea. Asked for both, when we came back to the table with our food both times no coffee or tea. I was fine as I just drank juice, my husband had to walk to the lobby to get his own coffee. Also there were flies all over a lot of the food and ants all over the cheese and meat station. They even got on our plates and we had to dispose of them and start all over.
Cafe De Paris Excellent!!!! The staff is so nice and helpful and the crapes are so good!
The pizza as always yum!
Jerk Shack- all these years we have never tried fish in a foil and OMG!!!! We are so stupid for not trying it sooner as it was excellent!!! Our server seemed board out of her mind and like we were a bother. So food A+ service D
Sandals select night was also wonderful. The meal excellent!
We left our card on the door the night before. Room service was late so I went to look and it was on the floor as it must have blown off and nobody saw it. Tried again the next day and taped it to the door. Asked for a 9am delivery. By 10 we called butler #2 and she said it will be there soon. 10:30 it arrived by a very angry person. Asked where we would like it and showed him. Thanked him and told him to have a great day and all we got was a dirty look. We gave up, and we love having breakfast on our balcony but was not worth it.
Nightmare, We have an 18 year old tradition of getting a couples massage. We arrived and no reservation????? They had it for the next day! Our bubble bath that was waiting in our room unused. So disappointed.
The butler manager Horatio offered us a $100 resort credit to make up for the confusion. We did go the next day and our massages were excellent.
Swim up pool
We are more pool people than beach people. Loved hanging out by the pool, playing games with the AWESOME playmakers!
Then during the week a lifeguard came up to us and said I have what you asked for yesterday. Confused we asked what since we were on the beach yesterday? He said what we ordered and we owe him $120????? He needs that money for his dealer or he was out the money. Again we said we were sorry but have no idea what he is talking about!!! We walked away and he gave us dirty looks and was staring at us the entire time we were at the pool! We never went back to the pool because it was just too uncomfortable for us and spent the rest of our days on the beach.
Another tradition we have is that we get our Sandals Select members shirts tie dyed, we even brought our Sandals shirts from our Curacao trip last year as they didn't do tie dye. We had the pleasure of meeting Kevaugn and he made us the BEST tie dyed shirts we have ever had made!!!! Butler #2 saw us bringing our finished shirts over to a chair to dry and she told us no, to keep the color you need to rinse them in the ocean. When my husband was rinsing the last shirt Kevaugn yelled NO!!!!!!!!! Too late, all four shirts ruined..... Another tradition went to hell. BUT, this amazing man was so upset as it was some of his best work, he allowed the shirts to dry a bit and then tried to correct them. On his own time he fixed them the best he could and even helped us bring them back to our room as it was starting to rain. THIS is what Sandals is about, when someone on the staff does something so special and really goes out of their way for you.
We loved watching the shows in the Living Room. Shelly is not only the best entertainment director, she is also the most amazing singer!!! That was the highlight of our stay. Her staff are so talented and LOVED the Michael Jackson dances.
Pub, boring.... Stopped in a couple of times and the bartenders were missing most of the time, so we left and hung out in the lobby bar. We went over to Sandals Royal Caribbean for dinner and as always the pub there is so much fun!!!!!
I can say the rest of the bartenders on the resort were great! Davion Korey and Lamar at the swim up bar, Marlin at the beach bar and the lobby bar.

Butler service C
We have booked butler in all 19 of our stays. When we checked in with butler #1 we asked for our planner for the week that we always receive showing all of our tour, spa and restaurants we requested. He said we don't need that. So confused we asked but don't you need to know what time and place to take us to dinner? Oh we don't do that here. You only need to know about is Butch's as that is the only restaurant that requires reservations. So we asked, we just go to dinner whenever we want? Yes. This was a first for us as our butler would escort us to dinner, set us up in a wonderful table that was usually decorated. BTW, checked with many friends who have stayed there and said this is not true as they were always taken to dinner. Butler#1 took us to dinner at Butch's, Butler #2 took us to the Orleander Room. That was it. We saw tables decorated and many couples being taken to dinner. Even on Sandals Select Night we have ALWAYS been escorted to dinner. Instead we were told by butler#1 to meet him there. We found out why, because he escorted another couple. We also put in our requests to have a snack in the room before dinner and chocolate deserts left at bed time. Has never been a problem. Butler#1 for two nights left us a brown paper bag full of cookies from the lobby outside our door. A snack a couple of days in our room. Butler#2 a snack one day in our room. ??????????? One thing I have to say is we had mentioned that we love oxtails and they should be on the menu. We were surprised our last day with them for lunch on the beach. We got to personally thank Chef Salvo the head chef at the Select Night dinner in person because I know how many hours and ingredients this takes to prepare and it was delicious!!! But we never saw her on her shifts. Our first day she came by to say hello and never saw her the rest of the day OR night. At least butler#1 would check in with us through out the day. When we checked out with butler#2 all it seemed like was she just couldn't wait to get rid of us and shoved us in a car. I guess we just didn't get a good butler pair because I hear others had a great experience.
As much as I want to give this resort 2 stars, I gave it three because of Chris, Kevaugn, and chef Salva I gave it a three. Now we know why we have not been back in 15 years.
Best wedding ever

I visited Sandals Montego Bay for my wedding and it did not disappoint! We had the best time of our lives. Big shoutout to Shereika, our wedding planner, for making all of our dreams come true. The service was excellent. We booked the over-the-water chapel for our ceremony at twilight and it was the most beautiful scene. Derry, our photographer, went above and beyond to get all of the shots on our special day. The reception on the beach was absolutely amazing. The food was great and the cake turned out even more beautiful than we imagined.
As far as our stay went, we had 21 people in our group, and I can safely say that every single person had a fantastic time. Everyone kept saying it was the best wedding ever. We stayed in the honeymoon beach walkout suite and it was wonderful. Being able to step out onto the beach was great and the building was very centrically located.
The beach is one of the best we’ve ever been to and I have traveled to many Caribbean islands in my time. It was quiet, peaceful and the water was clear and warm. It was paradise, honestly.
The only thing the resort could improve on would be the food. Everything is 5-star quality, but the food could be better. Definitely enjoyed the Italian restaurant the most. And the sushi was a fan fave as well!
If you’re thinking about doing a destination wedding, I cannot recommend Sandals Montego Bay more. The entire process from start to finish was easy and stress free. They fulfilled every single request without fail. I loved my time here and would definitely come back for an anniversary trip!

Sandals Montego Bay needs to update the website with updated pictures. I booked an ocean view room but was told that the trees have grown up and covered the view..... so false advertising. My room had a mildew smell and looked like a Holiday Inn. The food was AWFUL.... for the price of this place you should have First Class Dining.

Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic time! The beach is absolutely perfect! Shallow clear waters :)
Big shout out to the playmakers, they ensure you have a fun time Sylva, Kemar, and let’s not forget String Bean! The DJ was also great ????????
