Update: The response I received from Sandals is what I expected. A lot of apologies but not a penny in compensation. Typical corporate response is "we've got your money, too bad."
I'll start with our room. I paid for a room with a balcony. We got a room overlooking the roof of a restaurant. Not didn't present a problem except when a maintenance crew started working on the roof. We've spent three days so entertaining them from our balcony. There went our privacy. The food was resort quality. That's all. So, we paid $199 for the private romantic dinner on the beach. What we got was an overcooked surf and turf dinner for 2 that was cold within a few minutes. The server claimed she could not find steak knives because all the restaurants were closed at 9 pm. We commented that we were aware that they, at least four, were still open. She said she was sorry. Still, she didn't get steak knives. Luke warm/cold filet and lobster cannot be cut with a regular table knives. We aborted the dinner after wrestling with the food and went our own way. If you like to drink this your resort. They push alcohol. We contracted an Oceanview room a balcony and tranquility tub @ $451 (rack rate)/night/per person for seven nights. We will not do it again. Fool me once. You know the rest. One final bit of advice, be sure to check the seals on the liquor bottles in the in-room mini-bar. A bottle of wine and vodka both had been opened before being placed in our room. The bar service technician seemed indifferent when I brought it to his attention.
Birthday for the Books!

My husband and I along with one other couple visited last week for my birthday. It was our first time at a Sandals and first time in Jamaica! Hopefully it will not be our last! We had an awesome experience. They went above and beyond to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The food was great, the drinks were a'plenty! The included outdoor activities were such a bonus and the views were phenomenal!! We will def be back!!

We had an awesome time there. The staff was friendly and courteous. We were treated with respect, we felt like royalty. We had 2 Butlers, they exceeded our expectations, they were available for us at all times, and we lacked nothing. Highly recommended.

We very much enjoyed our time at Sandals Royal Caribbean. The staff here are amazing, they were attentive and eager to help and make guests feel comfortable. Honorable mentions are Gavin, who helped us from the moment we arrived and all through to the last day of our trip. He quickly got us situated with reservations for the week. He also helped set up Tee time transportation. Gavin always checked on us whenever he spotted us and was quick to make us feel welcomed.
Tiana was the first to greet us on our arrival with her big beautiful smile. Davion and Aldayne were friendly and welcomed any questions or requests.
The restaurant staff were amazing as well, At La Tavola we had the pleasure to be served by Mauvelette, she was always so sweet and attentive to anything we needed. Kris ann also at La Tavola, aways made sure our food was to our liking.
At Bombay, Melissa welcomed us every morning for our Local Breakfast plate.
At the Jerk shack and Thai restaurant, see Dwight he is your guy for great service at any of these two spots. He was very friendly and was always smiling.
At The Meriner, Damion always took great care of us, attentive, friendly and always smiling. There is always alot going on by the beach and no matter how busy it was he made sure we never needed anything. Chris the bartender will also give great service and get you all set with any drink you’d like.
Nicoy at the aqua center was a joy to be around, this man was always happy and smiling. And the happiness was contagious, he helped us get situated with the kayaks and made us feel comfortable.
The housekeepers were also super amazing, our room was never missing anything and they always made our room feel so comfy.
Id like to add this morning at Bombay they had so many guests eating there for breakfast and we had a 9am airport shuttle to catch. Garfield went above and beyond, he ran across the resort to grab us our breakfast so we wouldn’t leave hungry. He did all that while smiling and laughing. Thank you Garfield! You put the cherry on top!
Every staff member worked really hard to make sure we had all we needed or wanted. Even those that we did not have a chance to interact with, it was very apparent that they were hard workers and were willing to assist and make us feel at home. We stayed from 9/3-9/9, the staff here were superb.

This is not a 5 star resort at all!!!!!The butler service was trash. The room was okay but the jetted tub was dirty. The morning buffet was not good and the food was cold. The communication was unclear and we booked a candle light dinner and wasn’t even told that it cost extra until the next day after we have had our meal. The maid service was good until she came in a was trying to get us to write review about the cleaning and butler service and was waiting in our room until we wrote one. I had to tell her that we have things to do and would do it later so she would leave. My wife also has her ear rings stolen from our room.Expect to be harassed to buy something when you’re in the ocean by the locals!!!! Also if you book the bamboo rafting experience expect they will try to rub you feet down…. That will cost you extra and was not told this until we were on the raft which cost an additional $80! The only good thing about the resort is the Indian food. My wife and I will never come back to this resort. I would stay clear of this resort….Thousands of dollars
