Great hotel for proximity and value. Clean, helpful staff and excellent amenities and food. Any beat the location. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

The staff treats you like family in this charming, older hotel. The doormen and bell staff in particular were very friendly and helpful. It is centrally located in the heart of the Theatre district and Times Square and near the subway. The restaurants were good and the Grab & GO breakfast was convenient and tasty. The room was nice, quiet, and cleaned daily. The bed was comfy after a long day of exploring this amazing city! We had a nice walk-in shower in the small bathroom. They even have a weekly wine and appetizer event in the lobby. The price was very reasonable, especially for the nearness to so many places.

Arrived to be greeted by a very friendly receptionist, Latoya , who checked us in and gave us all the info we needed re the hotel . The hotel is in a perfect location - 2 minutes walk & you’re in Time Square and lots of ‘sight seeing’ places are within easy walking time We were on the 11th floor - room was very clean & spacious with 2 very comfy double beds/pillows . We did not experience any noise whatsoever. Coffee machine, bottled water (replaced every day), bath robes , hair dryer & toiletries were provided and we asked for a kettle , which was brought up to our room within 10 minutes of arriving . Bathroom was nice and clean and a good shower (plus there is a magnifying mirror , which is always a bonus for makeup !!) The breakfast is ‘grab & go’ and there’s a choice of 3 separate cafes where you can collect your food- . We tried all 3 and preferred Bond45 . There is a Rum Bar attached to the hotel which is lovely , with live jazz/blues music . There is also a restaurant (Friedmans) which has singing waiters performing on some evenings which is a good experience . All in all we were very pleased with the hotel, had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

We chose Hotel Edison after being put off our original booking due to reviews. We are really glad that this happened as the location of the hotel is great. This really added to the experience for my daughter, being able to walk out the hotel door and be pretty much on Times Square. The hotel was affordable and clean. We didn't require to speak with the staff too much during our stay but when we did they were really friendly and helpful. The room WiFi was nice and fast and easy to connect to. I was also really happy that a safe was included in the room without a further deposit.
