Close to convention center but needs updating

This hotel served its purpose, which was to be a quick walk to the Anaheim Convention Center, which is right outside the door and easy to get to from the hotel. The lobby was nice, check-in and check-out were efficient, and housekeeping made up the room each day we were there with no issues. That said, the room was dated, the furniture was dinged up, there was a large crack in the floor tile with a depressed area by the tub that needed repair. There was also only one nightstand with one outlet on the table lamp for a king bed. My husband moved the chair in the room over to his side of the bed for his items and used the outlet near the floor on his side - not ideal. We smelled marijuana in the ventilation system in our room multiple times throughout our stay. The room was plenty large enough for our suitcases, and the desk did have several outlets. The mini fridge was in working order.
Never Again

Let me preface this review and say that I am in the hotel business, but not in direct competition with this property. With all the problems in the room My property would have taken this room out of service until the deficiencies were corrected. I recently stayed a week at the Hilton Anaheim and all I can say is DON’T. Go somewhere else. Check in was terrible. Only one agent at the front desk it took over a half an hour to get checked-in and there were only 2 other guests checking in in front of me. For the $200+ per night I was charged “I feel like I was taken for a ride”. We were assigned a room on the 6th floor. I had asked for a room close to the elevators as I have some mobility issues. I was in the room furthest from the elevators. The hallway needed the carpet cleaned marks on the wall. Wallpaper seams separating. A return air vent fan close to our room was clanking. I don’t know how the rooms directly adjacent to the fan were able to be rented. The room wasn’t much better stains on the wallpaper adjacent to the headboard, 3 electric plugs and no USB plugs in the room. I had to buy a 2 power strips in to have enough outlets. We had to move a bed to get access to a plug so I could plug in my CPAP. The grout in the bathroom was discolored. There was mold/mildew in the caulking around the tub. The mirror frame was discolored. I couldn’t tell if the discoloration was mold or the finish was worn off the frame. The gift shop was priced astronomically. $ 7.00 for a small comb. 5.00 for a Mt. Dew. I definitely did not get my money’s worth or any percieved value. I will not return if I am ever in Anaheim again.
