Noise

kerryg183 (Le Rouret, France) on Jul 20, 2024

Our holiday didn’t start off fabulous at all, first impression is the hotel is lovely, rooms are not dated as previously suggested in another review on the 14th of July by another reviewer. Anyway we walked into our room to found a good amount of hair on the floor, I reported it to reception and was instantly made to feel like I was lying, I showed the receptionist the photo and she was straight into defensive mode and told me it wasn’t possible it was there. We got into bed that evening and I found one of the sheets was ripped went to reception the next day and it was the same receptionist from the night before who just stood there and looked at me , I asked her for the sheet to be changed and she told me room service would change it that day, it didn’t happen so I went back the next day and reported it again, this time is was sorted. Now from the first night we were kept awake by noise from neighbours and the air con system which is in the bedroom and is very loud. I spoke with David who I think was a manager of some kind , he offered another room on the same floor which I went to check out but it was just as loud in there. I was then Contacted by a guest service manager Andrea half way through our trip who tried to make things right for us. We had at this point only been getting a couple of hours sleep per night and we were exhausted and struggling to enjoy our time at attractions due to being so tired from the lack of sleep. Andrea moved us to another room all seemed fine until 8pm and the room above us returned home and proceeded to run up and down the room, slam doors, drawers and the patio door, someone was bouncing a ball as well. At one point it sounded like someone was rolling something across the floor could Of been a suitcase or skateboard who knows but this went on for hours, we ended up calling security and they finally came after the second call and one guy was lovely but the shorter security guy just stood there with a smile on his face and I questioned why he thought it was amusing especially when we have paid over 7.5k for a vacation we can’t enjoy due to being exhausted from the noise issues since we arrived, he didn’t say anything and he took the smirk off his face. The next night the neighbours above us were at it again banging, screaming, slamming doors again security was called, we had also discovered insects crawling in the apartment looked like tiny ants, I called for housekeeping but nobody had answered our request after over 50 minutes. I ended up cleaning the area myself and suddenly someone came o deal with the issue, I sent the cleaner away since I had already tackled the issue myself. The very next night the neighbours were on a roll and this time the spent nearly three hours opening and slamming their patio door and when I say slamming it was open and shut that hard our patio door rattled. I messaged reception and after one hour heard nothing so I walked down and told them what was happening again. We were given another room , we finished moving at 1:15am get settled into bed and a loud humming sound started?? it seems our room is next to the swimming pool control room and the aircon outlets for the building next door which is incredibly loud. We ended up all sleeping in one room of the villa the furthest point from the noise and running out to cvs to get ear plugs so we could at least try and get some sleep. My poor husband tried and tried to sleep ended up finally going to sleep at 5:30am until we were woken by the industrial facility across from us at 8am. We are absolutely exhausted to the point today again for the fifth day we just can’t function to do anything. I would upload the video of the insects running everywhere but it won’t let me. If I could I would be asking for my money back or part of it to book into another hotel.

A Gem of a Resort

Elsie F on Jul 19, 2024

This resort is so much fun. I really enjoyed it. I think it is better than staying at a Disney Resort, cheaper anyway. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa that was so comfortable with a screened in deck too. There was also a private pool behind the villa with a hot tub as if Florida isn't hot enough. The big main pool is by the reception building. It is quite enticing with its waterfall and grotto, water slide, multi-colored pool lights and lively music. The resort has several eateries, a small market and a Starbucks. Our favorite dining place was the Stadium Club which was a fun experience in itself with delicious food, a sports simulator and DJ music and lots of TVs for sports enthusiasts. If you are heading to Orlando, stay at this resort. It is relaxing and fun!
