Avoid!!

Awful experience, arrived and after 15 minutes of waiting in reception was told booking had been moved to a different hotel as they had a larger booking after us. Managers uncaring and told nothing we can do. No communication whatsoever beforehand. Terrible customer service, avoid.
Poor room service

The actual hotel was modern and clean but the rooms were very tired. We were there for two nights and the second day they just forgot to clean our room. We were out all day. They knocked on our room at 9.45 pm and woke us up asking if we needed anything. I complained the next day but the receptionist didn't want to know. In fact I thought she was quite rude. The ladies behind the bar were fantastic and very welcoming.
Could have been better

Arrived very tired, service at reception good. Although toilet blocked in the room. We called Dow twice to ask for it to be fixed. No one appeared. They eventually gave us another room. Charges on credit card which haven’t been explained. Still waiting for deposit to be refunded. Make sure you get receipts.
Day room

Booked a day room as we had a late flight and our original hotel couldn't accommodate a very late checkout. The grounds are nice, especially the pool and bar. Unfortunately the rooms and buildings are old and do not seem well maintained - the shower did not drain properly, and upon closer inspection the room could be cleaner (dirty A/C, corners of carpet and bathroom ...). Staff were very nice and location seemed good, but unlikely to stay again or overnight.
Great location

We have just returned from a 2 week holiday booked through Virgin. The location of the hotel is perfect, about 7 mins from Disney and 25 from Universal, with lots of restaurants in the surrounding area. Housekeeping came every day, and always left bottles of water, clean towels etc. staff were lovely and really helpful. The only downsides were the price of food and drink in the hotel, $17 for a small glass of white wine! $19.90 for a buffet breakfast and this doesn’t include tax or service charge, we didn’t bother eating at the hotel when there are so many other places to try in the area. There does seem to be LOTS of young people who stay at this hotel in large groups, they were running up and down corridors at night, jumping into the pool in the evening fully clothed, slamming doors and generally having a fab time, which was annoying when trying to sleep, we did complain and the receptionist said they would send security up, however we don’t think actually happened. This may not be the case when it’s not the summer holidays! As I said, the selling point for this hotel is the location.
