Too little, too late
Carrie P on Jan 14, 2025
I actually don't want to call the hotel out for all the issues I had while staying at this property, as the hotel was trying to make it right. They changed my room (late at night) and gave me a certificate for a drink and breakfast. The next morning, I had several issues with the new room and I told them thanks but no thanks for the vouchers as I could not use them. They advised me they could give me Bonvoy points instead. I was thrilled with that. Well, 5 weeks later and several follow-ups and I still have not seen the points awarded. Disappointing as I was really giving them the benefit of the doubt.
Good value hotel

Excellent value for money, comfortable rooms, lovely pool area and in a great location and the beautiful fragrance when you walk in is lovely. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The main bar and starbucks also friendly, one woman in the rum shack not so friendly - I feel that she let the team down. The security were very helpful one evening when our Uber let us down. The courtyard is a lovely area for sitting on an evening, you can even take your own drink in there as long as in plastic. Free Wifi everywhere and electric sockets and USB charger in almost every comfy chair and dining table. Room cleaners generally speak hispanic but if you need anything they switch on translator on their phones, so that sorted that. Parking is plentiful, make sure it's included in your stay or it's $23 per day. Close by is Charleys steak house and theres a Walgreens, Applebee's and many other restaurants just over the 192, 5 mins away. We discovered Mulligans Irish bar on our last day! (Typical) only 8 mins away in Celebration. I would stay again and will recommend.
Disney fans' hidden option

This hotel surprised me, in a good way. The resort has big and relaxing pools and many good dining options like the bar's pizza and shrimps which I recommend the most. The room was very comfortable with two beds and a spacious bathroom. Even though I stayed between december-january, it was a relaxing and fun experience. It's proximity to the Disney World parks was also very positive to my vacation. Although I would go back, my only complain, that made this review not being 5/5, was my experience during the check-in. The receptionist helped making my arrival a little too stressful by being a little stubborn about hotel policies and not giving effective solutions for some problems that I had as I'm from another country. She even tried leaving my case without solving because "it was time for her to go". In the end, the issue wasn't even my fault and everything was just a waste of time. But on the brightside, I later met Camila, who's a very kind and extremely helpful receptionist that gave useful tips and provided me with hotel bonuses that the first receptionist didn't even explain about. Aside from this situation, I still believe it's a very good option for a joyful and not so expensive stay!
Very poor customer service

The rooms needed renovating, the TV was broken and there was no coffee maker. We were ignored for days, we eventually were moved, no help from staff. The next room had no towels or tissue paper, this was ignored for days. We complained 2 times and then made a formal complaint as check in kept adding amounts to our bill. They promised these items would be removed but once we checked out they added items back on. We complained to Marriott and were ignored
