The hotel is beautiful, bar staff are amazing. However there are a couple of things that left us feeling a little let down. We booked our stay for 13 nights a pool view suit. Room was lovely and well appointed or so we thought, after the first night we realised room 206 on the first floor near the main area was at times, really noisy!! I don’t think people realise that there are rooms that close so don’t consider how loud they are being especially at night after being in the bar or out for the evening. Also the sofa bed we had for our third family member was really uncomfortable, giving her back ache. We spoke to reception about the noise and sofa bed and was met with a blank stare, we said we would see how we got on with the noise but needed an extra quilt (comforter) to put over the mattress as our daughter could not get a comfortable nights sleep. We attempted this four times, over 2 days as each time housekeeping would just bring an extra sheet, in the end my daughter used the quilt she had on top of the mattress and then had to make do with a sheet on top. All of this would have been overlooked and we were talking to family about coming back, however the final disappointment was on check in we asked if we could have an extension on our last day, our flight isn’t until 7pm. We were told we could arranged this the night before, however when we asked the night before we were told to phone a number in the morning which we did. We spoke to a really helpful lady who gave us some options and decided we would spend the money and have the room until 2pm. We went to reception to organise and was met with a no, there is no availability. We’ve managed to get a checkout at 12 as we did say what on earth has changed within the hour. So unfortunately that was the final thing for us, we probably won’t arrange to come back. We leave in a couple of hours and would like to thank the staff that we’re helpful and friendly.
