Newly Opened! River Falls Water Park is the latest addtion to Orlando World Center Marriott. River Falls offers three, brand-new thrilling inner tube water slides that connect riders to a 575-foot lazy river. As guests keep on floating, they can easily enter and exit through the zero-entry pool, where little swimmers can enjoy an aqua playground complete with eight bubbling nozzles and two sprayers. Surrounding the winding river and pool is a patio with lounge chairs, cabanas and a refreshment station. River Falls joins the newly renovated Falls Pool Oasis at Orlando World Center Marriott

Avoid- in poor repair even the suites!

Booked their largest 1 bedroom executive suite hoping to avoid the issues in the reviews and no luck! Suite is in horrible working repair. Bathroom doors out of commission, hair clumps in drain and stains on the walls! No fan and mold at the baseboards. There were ants in the shower too. Bar area in the suite had just 2 single glasses- this room is for more than 2 ppl. Towels same thing not enough. No hooks anywhere to hang towels or clothing. Should we put it on the ground?! Paid north of $1000/night this is shocking. Front desk no help just said sorry. Avoid at all costs especially if u think you are getting a high end product. Tried to move rooms and again no help no luck what a huge waste of money.

“Resort” Going Down-Hill

Let me start by saying I got engaged at this hotel. My sister got married at this hotel. This hotel was my families annual get away during my childhood and my family and I LOVED it. Unfortunately, the resort and family upscale charm has turned into a party and conference getaway. Prior to check in I used the chat feature asking if there was any availability for an upgrade where they thanked me for my gold elite status and said it was based on availability at check in- sounds fair. At check in the next day, the gentleman said that upgrades to larger rooms are only for titanium members and I could pay for the upgrade. I told him that is not what guest relations told me and he apologized for the mixed message. After check in I messaged guest relations back for them to tell me that it’s based on availability and they are currently out of larger rooms- hmmmm…. I spoke with a very nice manager named Nicolette who put us in a slightly larger room in an area of the hotel she said was quiet. Every night our infant would wake even with her sound machine on due to the loud crowds in the hallways. It was too late to complain and move everything after settling it. Those with a baby know what I mean…. The next day we went back to our room and we’re locked out. They stated since my reservation was made separately I had to come to the front desk every morning to re-activate the key. Are you serious??? You try waiting on the line at the World Center- don’t get me started on the time it takes for check in due to hotel occupancy…. Housekeeping is limited… guessing due to short staff since many other hotels are back since covid with regular services. Regardless, to get new towels and the garbage changed required me to message them through the app after several attempts over several hours to reach housekeeping or the front desk continued to ring (assuming due to hotel volume once again) After a couple rough nights with the little one I asked the night before for a late check out. They answered through the chat that it’s subject to availability the day of. I have never had a hotel not know what their availability looks like the day before and furthermore never have a hotel not accommodate even an hour or two later for check out. I messaged them the morning of check out to be told the hotel is at capacity and they can’t honor it (shocker). All this as well as the guests in elevators asking us to borrow wrist bands for the water attractions, the inability to find seating at the once delightful and now overcrowded pool, and the lack of personalized service that once had this Marriott stand out is gone (thanking me for my status at check in, handing a water bottle upon arrival, valet greeting and opening car doors, the list goes on… It pains me to write this review as my childhood hotel that I once loved has allowed growth to overtake the customer experience.
