Find A Different Resort

Rachel P on Nov 16, 2024

Please save your money and book elsewhere. This resort charges for incidentals that they claim will be returned to you at the end of your stay. At the end of our trip, an incidentals charge of over 500 dollars was not returned to the used card. When calling the resort to inquire about charges, the front desk staff was virtually useless, claiming, "[they] usually just tell people to contact their bank when this happens, there's not much else [they] can do." Not a single employee could explain each individual charge that was a part of incidentals, nor could they send an itemized receipt of it. Only when their accounts receivable department decided to contest the bank claim they suggested we pursue, did we receive a vague statement of said charges on paper. It is still unclear as to why this was not made available upon our first request. The stay here was mediocre at best, and the inconvenience of this whole situation only added to the subpar experience. Spend your money elsewhere.

Be Careful! Double Charges!

bethb370 (Whittier, California) on Nov 12, 2024

The hotel has beautiful views. The lobby is nice. Parking is convenient. The location is a 10 min drive to Palm Springs. The bellman was lovely. They gave us warm cookies at check in. At check-in, I was told there would be a resort fee. I explained that I already paid for it through booking.com. He said there was no notes. I still explained that I paid for it. I was about to show him a picture of my booking.com receipt but then he said he’d waive it. It was awkward because do I have to thank you for waving something that I actually indeed paid for and so it technically wasn’t waived. But whatever I was just happy to have a cookie so I said thank you. The room looked nice except for the popcorn ceiling. Unfortunately the bed was uncomfortable, and the tub was disgusting. The view was stunning! The rooms have a balcony and the pool looked lovely although we didn’t use it… The hotel sent me receipts and they indeed charged me a resort fee… Again. So I have now paid for it twice. There’s also a $50 charge looming but I’m sure it’s just the mandatory hold thing. I will have to spend my lunch at work calling and dealing with this. I would highly suggest saving your time, and choosing another hotel.
