Highly Recommend Grand Palladium Bavaro Select

Our stay was very memorable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the newly renovted rooms. Few tips, do book the speciality restaurants as soon as you arrive, as they get booked up very quickly. Our favourites were : -Sumptori ( Japanese tepanyaki cuisine where the chef also entertains small groups sat around the table); -Bhoghali indian restaurant was very good, -Bamboo ( oriental cuisine) starters wers very good but mains were average as all shes we'd ordered were very bland. -Portifino (italian) the starters were good, the funghi risotto was excellent, the pesto pasta also recommended, but avoid the pizza's as they were just stodgy and nothing like an authentic Italian pizza -Kusco (Peruvian ) this was our favourite restaurant and each course is cooked to perfection. The waiters are also next level and the service was just outstanding. This is not included if staying at the Bavaro select but highly recommend this restaurant -Cathedral buffet for breakfast. What a fanastic spread for breakfast, from freshly pressed juices, a fine selction of exotic fruits, various egg staions, and a great election of all coffees included. Great way to start the day. We had a few issues with our room, bedding not provided for the 3rd person, hot water not working & room telephone not working. However, all these issues were resolved, after resporting to guest services. Infact Carlos Kingsley, the head of guest services personally reached out to us and ensured all the minor issues were rectified immediately. Carlos is an huge asset to the Grand Palladium group as having worked in the hotel industry at senior mgt, staff like Carlos are an essential to quality hotels. For our anniversary, Carlos had orgaised our room to be decorated in fresh rose petals, fresh fruit and champagne. I would highly recommend staying at the Bavaro select
Not good for what supposed to be the best hotel in Punta Cana

It used to be a nice place to go but I won’t go back. First there is a bunch of arrogant and ignorant people working to se you time share. And when they find out you don’t want to buy they become really bad calling you names and they try to intimidate me my wife in front of my 2 kids. Second there is a family club with their own swimming pool and your not allowed to go there but family club come to are pool early morning put towel on every chair so no one can get chairs for the whole day. Food was ok but be ready to eat the same food every day for the whole time your there . Buffet is the same thing every day. Am i going to recommend this place no

We stayed at family select resort which also had private access to a wonderful stretch of the beach. Pool was good but the beach was better. Our room had great A/C which we were very grateful for, comfortable beds but lack of storage space for a family of 4. Our maid LINA was wonderful and gave us plenty of water and coffee pods as well as keeping the room spotless. Our Butler ROBINSON was fantastic - hands down the best butler we have ever had in numerous resorts. He made everything smooth, responding to any request promptly, professionally and courteously 10/10 ! There was some inconsistency with the drinks from one bar to another and some didn’t even know the correct ingredients for cocktails but overall the service was good. For breakfast we would go to the Nest and the Cathedral which both offered a good selection. Our favourite place for buffet lunch was El Arrecife but the pizza shop near the pool was also really good. À la carte was a little bit hit and miss, mostly good but the steak at La Paisana and El Dorado was awful and full of gristle. we did not visit every restaurant, but our favourite was Portofino. Shout out to the senoritas in the coffee shop next to the lobby who made great lattes, cappuccinos, etc. and did so with a smile on their face every day. Ultimately, this was our personal experience and everyone will probably have their own comments however we would return for another stay.
Not a 5 star should be a 3

This is nowhere near a 5 star hotel, food in speciality restaurants not very nice more taste in food in the buffets. Swimming pool never cleaned nor area around if it rained. Wouldn't recommend
