Great place for family to come together. Everyone was free to explore all day. We all met for dinner each night and then again did what we wanted

We stayed at the GP - Bávaro section of this resort, our room was the romance suite on the beach side. Arrival was great, the lobby staff was very attentive and greatly helped with a small hiccup we had. Our room was exactly how it was described. Of course just like with any other place, there were things that could be improved in it. We did go in knowing that the Bávaro resort would be getting remodel so the wear of the room did not bother us much besides the shower in the bathroom. There was water under the actual shower that you could hear and feel. We mostly used our outdoor shower which was the best part of the room. Housekeeping was great and did their best to keep up. Over all it was great time, only 2 complains for us over all. The food in the buffets tended to be pretty bland but we made the best of it. That’s why it was great that they have various options. Other complain would be finding space at the busier pools. Even though they had signs that reserving areas was not allowed, staff did not enforce it. I asked the staff about how things worked at the pool since every time we went, all the lounge chairs had towels on them. Wasn’t sure if it was something the staff did since every chair had a towel on them by the time we arrived between 8:30 and 9am. He said that’s how people reserved their spot. I was thrown back since I pointed out the signs they have where it clearly states NO RESERVING SPOTS, his response was to just play the game. Pretty much if there is a chair with a towel on it and nobody’s things are on, just take the chair and move it elsewhere. After this, we started playing the game. Ultimate best parts were getting to know the bartenders in the Saona Pool, Ruth and the team were amazing. Best part, we didn’t have to continuous tip them to keep service coming like at other pool bars. Dinners at the a la Carte were fine but nothing that really stood out. Overall great experience it was great time and worth going back.
