I like my vacation and we enjoyed the the vue, the service, the staff around! My personal thank to our Guest service meneger Rebecca Sanchez, she been wery attentive to us.. We had some questions, she responded immediately... She been amazing! Nice personality! I also woul like to mention the service in buffet and restorant... Wery professionnel and fast! Thank to Melia,for you staff, We spend amazing time there and will be back again! Will recommend to my friends ??

Mixed bag review

Very mixed views about this hotel. I’ve read others have the same sort of opinions. We travelled in January 2025 for 10 days to celebrate a friends 40th birthday so pushed the boat out and booked Impressive Premium. On arrival we were super Impressed! Greeted warmly by the concierge and the bell boy whisked our luggage away whilst we checked in. Premium has its own check in and and we were treated very well. Driven to our room on a golf buggy with the porter and our luggage. The room was also Impressive! Building 23 overlooking the pool, especially liked the huge space, ceiling fan and the double shower space which I’ve never seen before. We were told to meet our Butler in the morning. This arrival service was very different to later service received at the premium reception, our keys stopped working one day and we were left standing there, not even acknowledged until we made a fuss. Customer service is an holistic 24/7 business guys not a wow on arrival that quickly drops to a 1/10 immediately afterwards! We met the butler the next morning as directed, didn’t get a tour as we later saw others doing, she helped us book some of the restaurants we couldn’t access via the app as there was no availability, we never saw any of these full and didn’t understand this at all, and assured us this if we needed her we only need WhatsApp and she would be at our “disposal”. She introduced us to the tour rep and 3 tours, do check what you actually pay for as we were thoroughly confused and have ended up paying for 1 tour twice which I have now disputed with Amex. So we went about our holiday. For premium guests there is a premium pool, premium beach (although cabanas are chargeable!!) and a premium buffet which oddly is only for breakfast and lunch so unless you can secure a restaurant booking every night you end up in the main buffet with all the guests and it’s a bit Butlins to be honest. The Tapas is delicious, Italian was cold, Mexican had very limited choice and we never got to try the others. The Premium buffet in building 23 is lovely. We found there were non premium guests in the premium areas, the pool, bars and buffet which was annoying considering how much we had paid for the privilege and we did bring this to the attention of our Butler. Sadly my friend got ill, cause unknown but something gastric that made her sick and this was the moment we needed our butlers help. It took all day to track her down and find out where the pharmacy was (tour would have helped!) and eventually I called the hotel doctor for help. However, my biggest complaint is that I had also mentioned to our butler and the concierge several days running that we wanted a late check out, which we were happy to pay the $20/hour for and expected our Butler to arrange it. I had 4 seperate trips to reception to request this and on departure day was told they had booked someone in our room and we had to be out no late check out available. I kicked up a fuss which got me nowhere so I sent a message to the butler who replied at 12.50 that we could use a different room. As we had to check out at 1 it was far too late to give me this information as we were clearly packed and showered and ready to vacate the room. I struggle to believe they could not have put the new guest in an alternative room, especially given I had requested the late check out so many times and they were aware I wanted it. So all in all really disappointed with the service and the reception team and lack of management involvement. The entertainments team, especially Gasolina and Garcia are absolutely fabulous, towel lady by the olive tree really friendly and our cleaner Rigaberto very cute and helpful, especially when my friend was ill, he couldn’t have done more to help us in that moment, he should be a butler!! My general opinion is that the non reception and management staff are lovely and friendly and those in “important” higher rank not so, those just seem to stand around on their phones. Entertainment and shows, cleaners and bar staff 11/10, reception and butler and general hotel service 5/10. The hotel itself is very clean and in a Great position on a beautiful beach, need to sort out those staff though and find a way to keep food warm! The sellers stalls in the evening near the main buffet need banning. We had a very unpleasant exchange with a vendor who tried to sell us a wooden statue for $250, identical to one on sale in the gift shop for $15, although he was open for bartering he got angry and offended very quickly accusing us of being cheap and wanting it for free. This isn’t a 5 star hotel, 3 at best. And Impressive staff, before you reply and say I didn’t give you an opportunity to resolve whilst I was there that’s wrong, I did storm out of reception this morning as the lady on the desk was rude to me but if you wanted to resolve you knew where to find me, I was packing, 3 hours earlier than I wanted to! Would I go back? Maybe if they fix a few things!

Wonderful experience!

Everything was wonderful. Our butler, Jose, was so helpful and professional. The food was great. Fresh bread, donuts, omelettes made right at the buffet. Healthy juice bar, tons of great fruit, cheese, veggies, desserts, lots of choices. The staff were friendly, attentive, and some went about singing, The room was clean, marble floors, comfy bed, large two sided shower. The recreation staff were amazing! Gasolina, Will, and so many others, taught water aerobics, yoga, Zumba, dance, cooking and Spanish lessons, and then danced the night away with the guests. The beach is gorgeous and clean. Couldn't have dreamed of a better experience.

Holiday in Impressive

Holiday in the hotel was amazing. We met a kind people and staff of which especially was animator Gasolina the star, she's very kind and helpfull and support me and my family throughout the holiday. I hope we see her again. We miss her. Thanks.

Fairly Impressed with Impressive Premium

Very clean and large rooms. Resort was well kept and lots of staff that were efficient. We enjoyed the beach and ocean everyday along with the shows. Ocean water was nice with exception of some plastic garbage floating every once in while.. beach could be kept cleaner as well during busy times. The resort was packed during our stay. We would have liked to see more activities available. Staff was for the most part pleasant but not over the top with the exemption of our "butler" service Alanis... she was exceptional! Primarily Spanish speaking and music that catered to a Latino audience. We would have like a bit more diversity with music options. Food was overall average to good. Drinks were very good when prepared the premium bars.
