Time of my life being there wish I could have stayed longer

Morganne K on Nov 28, 2024

This was my first trip out of the country and was the best vacation I have ever been one. So many options to eat and so many things to do through out the day. The entertainment was fantastic. Ice Cube is my favorite, he is always interactive with everyone. He makes sure that everyone is happy and gets everyone he can involved in the activities for the day. Definitely will come back to this resort!

Love it

Sara S on Nov 28, 2024

It was the best time of my life, the food was delicious, and the resort was beautiful. I also want to give my biggest thanks to animators there, I loved the energy, and I will never forget about the IceCube guy, the energy he had was always amazing.

All around good resort

Melissa A on Nov 27, 2024

Was a good vacation. Beautiful white beaches and blue green waters. Multiple pools to choose from. Food was ok the Al a cartes need to improve. Buffet foods were great. Rooms were large and spacious same with the double showers in the rooms premium upgrade is definitely worth it. Great bars and alcohol selection. Entertainment during the day lots to do. Evening I found was just too repetitive same music and dances every night. Gasolina was the most friendliest of staff very involved with the guests.

Not impressive

Bee88Gee12 (New York City, New York) on Nov 26, 2024

My overall time at this hotel was average at best. Sadly, it was anything but impressive. I paid for the premium level room/service. Our room was very nice inside however it was right near construction that could be heard throughout the day. The hotel was not packed. They could have put us in a room elsewhere. Additionally, from an overall grounds perspective, all the water fountains and displays throughout the resort were empty which gave the grounds a rundown look. The room level I booked included a butler. Upon check in, it was a little unorganized in figuring out who ours was and who would take us to the room. Once it was sorted and we were on our way to the room our butler started bringing up politics and religion. Off the bat this made me a little uncomfortable. Once we got to the room we asked about making dinner reservations and were told that we had to do it online and that the butler couldn't really help us when everything was already booked. What is the point of premium if you get closed out of places? Luckily, after some back and forth and trying to get on his good side, the butler was able to help a bit. With that said, during this entire exchange the butler kept getting personal and complimenting me in a way that also made me really uncomfortable. Positive about the butler, we were celebrating a birthday and they decorated the room so nicely! It was a nice surprise. Food: each night I went to a different specialty restaurant. None were amazing but some better than others. The Mexican restaurant was the best in my opinion. Avoid the alfredo pasta at the Italian restaurant. It just tastes like buttered noodles. Drinks: With the premium package I was supposed to have gotten premium alcohol. There was no difference in what I was served to what someone with a regular wrist band was served. They also didn't have the same drinks from one bar to another. I've been to a few all inclusives and there are always special fruity/beachy drinks. Not here. Standard drink fair with strawberry daquiris and pina coladas. Disappointed with that. At the pool there was one day that servers came around to ask your drink order. Every other day I had to go up to the bar to get a drink. This is a fault of my own but I would say that many staff did not speak English. Not even enough to get by on simple questions. This is 100% my own issue. I was in a country where Spanish is the main language and I should have brushed up. With that said, it was still surprising how difficult it was when they advertise as multilingual. To sum it all up, would I go back, no. Would I say it was horrible, no. They need to work on things to make this resort... impressive.

A little bit of everything

Doris O on Nov 26, 2024

We travelled as two couples, upgrading to Premium when we got there. Check-in was quick and we got our rooms right away (mid afternoon). Rooms were large and clean. Bed was fantastic, but firm. No musty smell. Room is soundproof from next bedroom but hallway is super noisy with staff talking in the morning...lol. Only a shower, no tub... and if you want more than two towels you have to ask... same with changing your bedding... make sure you put the green "card" on the bed if you want them changed. Ask maid the first day for how you want your fridge stocked...more diet pop or beer or water. If you don't speak Spanish, communication can be a real issue. Be patient. Pools and beach were absolutely beautiful. Lots of loungers. Food was really good in the a la carte restaurants. Lots of variety in the buffet, with a breakfast smoothie bar, omelette grill, etc. For supper there was always a pasta station and a couple of nights they had a sushi bar. A different cut of meat served each night. You won't starve. Entertainment was a hit and miss. Our favorite was the Freddy Mercury/Queen tribute band.
