Birthday and Anniversary at Sanctuary at Cap Cana

Alec2532 (Dallas, Texas) on Jul 18, 2024

This trip was amazing and we are definitely coming back to the resort. Lugo was fantastic to have, he made us feel welcome and took care of all of our needs. We celebrated my birthday and our anniversary and Lugo made each special with a desert and champagne!

Amazing resort with delicious food

mojitojorge (New Port Richey, Florida) on Jul 18, 2024

Where can I start. The concierge arranged private transportation through a third party round-trip to and from PUJ airport. It was a quick 15 minute ride to a real sanctuary. We were greeted by a very friendly bell man that escorted us via golf cart to the castle building. Upon arriving at the castle building we were greeted by Pebel who helped us with our check in. We were provided a welcome drink - Coconut Limeade which was delicious. Upon completing our check in we were introduced to our personal Mayordomo Kelvin. Kelvin ensured from the get go that our stay exceeded our expectations. From arranging dinner, making a spa reservation and decorating our room for an anniversary celebration, Kelvin definitely made our stay that much more enjoyable. Make sure you have WhatsApp setup on your phone so you can get in touch quicker and make any requests directly to their personal phone. The Spa is a must. We did a couples massage for 80 minutes which also included an extra hour for hydrotherapy (trust the process, it’s 100% worth the money). The food in the resort is fantastic. The steak house was delicious with musicians walking around singing table side and great desserts. The many bars do not disappoint and the snack bar by the poolside is the perfect midday treat in between drinks (make sure to try the Yaniqueque’s). Make sure to make reservations for the restaurants with the concierge once you arrive to plan out your stay. Everything you need is within walking distance and there’s no reason to leave the resort. I 100% recommend Sanctuary Cap Cana and look forward to hopefully coming back!

Best all inclusive we have visited. Our Butler made the experience so much better!!!

Allen s on Jul 17, 2024

Wow!!! Words cannot describe this place. My wife and I returned yesterday from 5 magnificent nights at Sanctuary Cap Cana. Best: I read numerous reviews saying request a certain butler. We did not and took who was assigned to us. We are glad we did. Dawar is simply put the BEST of the BEST! He went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional. Every request was accommodated. When my wife and I return we will definitely be requesting him again. Te extranaremos Dawar. Muchas gracias nuestro amigo!!!!! Facility/Accommodations: We stayed in the castle section which was simply amazing. It is quiet, peaceful, and simply put it was a Sanctuary. The main building is beautiful and it doesn't disappoint. The grounds are immaculate. The pools are spacious and never felt crowded even in the main pool with the swim up bar. When we were not in the castle pool we stayed at the middle pool with the water fall. This pool was never crowded and the ability to stand under the waterfall was amazing. Food: Not a bad meal! The food is not at the level of a michelin star restaurant, but I cannot name a chain restaurant in the states that can compete. We had the filet at the steakhouse and it was wonderful. But we preferred the Churrasco. When travelling we like to try and embrace local culture and cuisine. On our day of arrival we had lunch at the blue marlin. When you scan their menu there is a section called "domincan corner". When we viewed that my wife's eyes lit up. She is a Cuban American and saw dishes that she loved. She had the Sancocho and I had the Chivo. Both of them were amazing. We also had the Dominican version of Mofungo. This was truly an impressive first meal. The server there was wonderful. I wish I could remember his name. That night we decided to to have dinner at sanctuary town. We shared a pizza and an order of mozzarella sticks from burger town. I would not recommend the mozzarella sticks. We had dinner 2 nights at Cappricio and everything was wonderful. Fridays are Dominican night in buffet and it did not disappoint. We also enjoyed the buffet for breakfast except for the 2 mornings we had room service. We both had the traditional breakfast and the mangu is as good as homemade by some of our Dominican friends. Drinks: All of the drinks were great. I read numerous reviews prior to going that the drinks were watered down and weak. That was not our experience. My wife would have to order her drinks with half their normal portion of alcohol. Spa: We did a couples massage and the hydrotherapy circuit. During the massage my wife added on a collagen facial treatment and I added on the hot stone. We routinely get massages from hand and stone, but I am now spoiled. This was absolutely the best massage I have ever had and my wife stated the same thing. I believe Yanis was my therapist and Sofia for my wife. (Randy if you read this please look up our therapists and pass along our gratitude.) The spa services are not cheap, but for a 3 hour experience including Mimosas it was well worth the money we spent. Staff: The staff makes this place extra special. I wish I could call out everyone that we interacted with but we cannot remember all of their names. Yeri, Pool Staff (main pools and castle pool), Ginette, Felix, and so many others. We did not have a negative interaction with anyone. (Just an example of how they aim to please their guests). I wish I knew this person's name but my wife wife could not remember. We were at the pool and she wanted a little snack. She went into the casa bella to get some tostones. When she went in she went to where the tostones were previously, but there were not any there. She asked the server and they went to where they should be but there were none. She told my wife to give her a minute and she went into the kitchen and the chef prepared tostones for my wife. Instead of saying "no we are out or we don't have any" they went and prepared them for her.

The Castle at Sanctuary Cap Cana was an amazing place to celebrate turning 40! Emilio, our butler, was truly wonderful and really did his best to make our trip relaxing and worry free. All of the people were happy and helpful. The restaurants were all great. I can’t recommend this resort enough. Thanks Emilio!

Emilio was our butler who was amazing, professional and very attentive to us the entire stay. He made sure we knew daily activities as well as made reservations for us at all the amazing restaurants that required them. He also went above and beyond on making sure we were happy with our room . Hr eas always available if we needed a ride to the main pool or restaurants from our Castle suite .. The main pool was very nice and the staff especially the am staff Jose' greeted us eachornimg and made sure we had towels and the perfect spot to enjoy the pool . We never wanted for a drink ..always on point . The restaurants were amazing each of them in Santuary village ..Mama's pizza was the best pizza we had had in a long time . Again the wait staff everywhere were very very good ...extremely professional and courteous . I highly recommend this property
