I recently stayed at Bahia Principe Explore La Romana and had a very enjoyable experience overall. The food was a highlight — the buffet offered a wide variety at every meal, with new options each night. The desserts, in particular, were absolutely stunning and delicious. The pool area was spacious, clean, and well maintained, with very comfortable lounge chairs available throughout the day. The beach had beautiful sand and truly outstanding sunsets. The only downside was that the water tended to be a bit cloudy. The rooms were clean and spacious, though somewhat plain in terms of decor. The beauty to be seen was outdoors : a well-maintained property with great landscaping and gorgeous views. The entertainment (animation team) brought great energy to the resort. There were different shows every night, and while the daily schedule was somewhat similar, there were always a few new activities added. The team’s enthusiasm really stood out. The staff made a strong positive impression. From the lobby to the bars to the dining room, most were very friendly, attentive, and polite. Many spoke at least some English, and there were always smiling faces ready to help. I would especially like to recognize a few individuals who made the experience even better: - Ronny (dining room server): poised, cordial, and prompt - Yeudy (server): personable and efficient - Oscar (dining room): lively, dedicated, and friendly - Antonio (animation team): sociable, dynamic, and incredibly energetic on stage - Dawlin (bartender at Flamboyant Bar): always smiling and tireless - Vladimir (lobby reception): kind and very helpful A shoutout to Johnny from Air Canada who was available every morning at the resort to answer questions and provide information. Overall, this resort offers a well-rounded experience with excellent service, great food, and a lively yet relaxing atmosphere. I would recommend it to travellers looking for a fun and rejuvenating getaway.

I had an amazing experience at this resort! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made me feel taken care of. The activities were fun, well-organized, and there was always something to do. Honestly, I didn’t even want to leave—that’s how much I enjoyed my stay. This is definitely a place everyone should experience at least one time!!! IM COMING BACK

I traveled to Bahia Principe Explore La Romana in the Dominican Republic as a solo female traveler for my birthday in April and honestly, it was a great choice. First things first: getting there? Easy. Airport to reception? Smooth. Check-in? Quick and painless. We love a stress-free arrival. The resort itself is beautiful, well-kept, clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was perfectly located near both the beach and the pool, which made me feel like I had VIP access without even trying. Now… let’s talk about night one. There was a beach party, and when I say the bass rattled my bones, I mean my ancestors probably felt it too. Thankfully, it wrapped up around 10:15 PM, and peace was restored. After that? Slept like a baby the rest of the trip. The room was consistently clean, and housekeeping showed up daily like clockwork; fresh towels, made bed, everything you need. Food overall was good and the fridge in your room is stocked. There is something for every dietary restriction under the sun. Now, beach lovers here’s the deal. Jellyfish are a thing. And unfortunately, that’s nature doing what nature does. Swim at your own risk. I went in the water every single day and came out undefeated, but I did meet a few couples who weren’t as lucky. So… choose your fighter wisely. Overall? Great trip. Great experience. Very relaxing. This is NOT a party hotel so if you’re trying to live your best nightlife life, you might want to look into Punta Cana. But if your goal is to unwind, recharge, and enjoy some peaceful beach time… this is it. Would I go back? Absolutely.

They got the potencial to improve, it’s a nice hotel and I love the fact that is closer than Punta Cana to me, good options were not the best, but they have an amazing staff!! My room was good too I was closed to the lobby and coffe shop but far away from the pool and the beach. My kids enjoyed their stay but there are not enough attractions for kids though.
