A week in Mexican jungle

JessicaElizabeth1 (Chelmsford, Massachusetts) on Sep 30, 2023

The hotel is a tropical paradise, if you are looking for rest a relaxation on a sandy beach this place is perfect for you. If you prefer a pool scene this is not the hotel for you, the only pools that aren’t swim up are small we didn’t use these during our stay. The food at the hotel al a carte restaurants has been lovely our favourites have been the Mexican a the Asian an the waiters in the Asian are amazing. The thing that made our holiday was the beach butlers! Alberto a Gabriel looked after us so well on the beach the Bali beds are fantastic real idilic paradise. Also don’t miss the food at the very far end of the palms beach! Get the nachos!

Traveling with vacation buddies

Michelle K on Sep 28, 2023

What a great vacation!! Second time visiting and we told ourselves we'd go outside of the resort, but we had so much fun! We never left! Upon arrival, Fernando brought us to our room as we sang Abba to him (IYKYK). Luana was the highlight at the Infinity pool! She's the life of the party and she's an amazing person as well! On her day off, we had just as much fun with Miriam! Talked my husband into a couples massage at the beach. Jorge and Cynthia were fantastic! My husband says she has magic hands! I wish I could remember everyone's name! The staff here are just so wonderful! The only complaint we have is the reservation system for dinners. When we arrived, we went to our concierge and were told that our only options for the entire week were to eat at 5:00 or 9:30 pm. No matter which restaurant we asked about. But each night, we went to the restaurant early and were seated. It almost seemed like they were blocking out the prime seating times. Our neighbors who arrived after us, we're told there were no reservations and their only options were the buffet or room service. It's an all-inclusive gourmet resort! Buffet and room service are good but not what we paid for. That said, the food is phenomenal! I have never eaten such amazing food as I have here! Which is why we traveled there two years in a row.

Destination wedding

Kecia W on Sep 26, 2023

Went for a wedding and it was beautiful. Check in had problems. I requested a certain building across from the swim up bar and arrived about 30 minutes after check in via hotel transportation to find my friend, who did not request a room, changing her room to be closer to the rest of the wedding party. After talking with her we figured out they gave me her old room and it appears she got the room I requested. Another friend arrived earlier than us and was told they were 8 doors down from our room. Do the math and yes that should have been my room. Although you are not guaranteed your request, it’s pretty obvious to us what happened. Not a good way to do business. Other than that problem, it is a good resort for the money. Grounds and entertainment were fabulous. Service was excellent. Food was average. Rooms were a little dated but had all the amenities you need. All in all we did have a good time.

Sweet suites by the sea!

Laracroft72 (Irvine, United Kingdom) on Sep 25, 2023

Just back from a week at the El Dorado Seaside Suites & wow, what a resort! Firstly, on arrival they had lovely scented cool cloths to wipe hands & cool our neck as well as a glass of fizz which had a blue colouring in it as it’s a Tui Blue hotel, normally I don’t like drinks like this but it was lovely & refreshing. Check in was quick (we were the second couple In, not so quick for others we heard) & we had originally booked a luxury junior suite with garden view. We were taken by golf buggy to our suite & it was huge but quite dated & dark inside, the garden view was ok but as we’d been travelling & were tired & hungry, we went to the beach bbq then bed. The next day we spoke to Karina, our personal concierge & explained we’d enquired about upgrading to a swim up room 10 days before arrival & although informed they had none available, had been told to check again upon arrival. Karina was excellent & I soon got a text offering us the choice of 2 swim up rooms which she took us to both to view then we made our choice, the quieter 3806 of the 2. Best move ever, our room was so much brighter & having our own pool area was amazing! The resort itself is the best smelling place we’ve ever been, Dorado reception being our favourite but even the bathrooms smelt amazing (weird I know but true!). We later found out there are special machines pumping these heavenly scents out & they are all available to purchase ($50ish each) in the gift shops & Naay spa. The restaurants are fantastic, we booked them with our personal concierge the day after we arrived & had no issues getting in anywhere, this may be due to the low occupancy in September but suited us well. Worth noting that a few restaurants weren’t open due to this fact but other restaurants serve the menus for these so you won’t miss out. The breakfast buffet at Seaside Market was our go-to, which was where the Sandwicherie was at lunchtime, we tried them all as well as room service & never had a bad meal at any, we visited the Gourmet Pub twice as it was our favourite with the fantastic waiter who I think was named Alex or Alejandro, so happy & thoughtful. A few tips for all travellers, try not to forget anything as the on-site shops are very expensive, cover yourself in mosquito repellent as those little demons are relentless, ladies your air wraps won’t work as the power isn’t strong enough, not even for a Babyliss big hair, so bring some frizz ease & embrace your curls or messy buns, water is weird too so you won’t get a lather when washing your hair or body! There were plenty of Bali beds & sun loungers in this resort but the sea wasn’t accessible from the beach at a few places due to a large wall separating beach & sea, but towards the right of the resort you can jump right into the warm Carribean ocean, just remember to bring water shoes as quite rocky underfoot. There are plenty of places for beautiful photo opportunities too, all marked with some social media markers to help you get the best holiday pics. Lastly, it must be said that the staff are outstanding, they work hard, always say hola (I’m guessing this might be in their contracts though) & go above & beyond to get what you ask for, special mentions to Karina personal concierge, Carlos who took the Spanish lesson, Edmerita who kept our room spotless & made beautiful art with bedding & towels daily & pretty much everyone else we met. There is a Facebook page which is extremely helpful, Seaside suites-El Dorado (Infinity and Tui Blue) Palms page, it is extremely informative with FAQ’s & even restaurant & cocktail menus in the files section top right of the page under the header, it proved invaluable & everyone on it is so nice. We will go back, a week wasn’t enough but definitely only to a swim up room as we had so much fun & made great friends. Worth every penny!
