I just got back from El Dorado Seaside Palms. Overall, it was great. The rooms were nice and clean, but a bit dated (that didn’t bother me). The staff was AMAZING. Everyone always said Hi (or Hola). Whenever we needed anything, it was taken care of quickly.
I have some dietary restrictions. At every restaurant on site, it was standard practice for the hostess/host to ask if anyone had any dietary restrictions and it was written down. Then the waiter would also ask and write it down. And the waiters/waitresses always worked with me to determine what I could eat and would also check with the chef. At Seaside Market (the buffet), I talked with the hostess, and since there wasn’t much that I could eat, she had the chef make me a special dish with food I could eat. At Culinarium (sp?), I couldn’t have dessert so I asked about fruit. The waiter came back with a plate of apples, strawberries & fig (all sliced up) with some honey. It was wonderful. At Driftwood, the waiter was concerned the fries would be cross-contaminated and checked with the chef. The chef made me a couple of big potato wedges (and the seasoning was really good) instead.
Pro-tip (recommend by my building’s concierge) - all of the restaurants, except for the buffet), require reservations. There were a couple of times where we couldn’t get earlier than 9:00. But it was suggested that if we wanted to eat earlier, go earlier. If a table is available, you will get seated - a lot of times, people forget or just don’t show up. We did that one of the nights, and it worked out well for us.
I also had a massage while there. I opted for the 80-minute wellness massage. Jorge was my masseuse. He has magic hands! I had a lot of pain in my shoulders/neck and had a migraine for a couple of days at that point. Jorge got rid of all the pain and migraine. I should have brought him home with me because I could use another one of those massages now…
A couple of minor nit-picky things. The resort is big and very spread out. I like to walk, so that was fine, but did make it difficult for our group to gather like we have been able to in other places. The walkways were dimly lit at night - you could see to walk, but as a woman, i was hesitant to walk by myself at night. Note - I did NOT feel unsafe, but just more cautious.
I was in a “premium” room/building, which was very nice, but the views were not as good as some rooms in other buildings, which were closer to the beach. One thing I really liked about the location of the building/room where I was, is that it was very quiet. We were in a corner, which might have helped. Even when the pool area below us was full, if the door to the balcony was closed, I couldn’t hear anything. And at night, it was very quiet there. However, if you are in a room closer to the main bar, I could see where the noise at night would be bothersome, unless the rooms were sound-proofed.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would go back.

We loved our stay at the Palms, and hands down the best part about it was the service!! Huge shoutout to Jesus, Luis, Benjamin, and Maria who were soo fun during beach volleyball, coconut painting, and the 5k run. Crisanto’s drinks at Guacamayas were truly the best, Alejandra’s esquite and ceviche making skills, Martin’s service at Driftwood, Erik at Culinarium, Fernando who helped with our bags, Luisa with the cabana drink service, the list goes on. Each and every person made our first trip to Mexico so special and we can’t wait to come back and see them again.
Good, but not quite 5 star

We’ve just returned from a 2 week holiday with Tui staying in a swim up room at the Palms.
We loved the location, surrounded by beautiful gardens & trees. We loved all the wildlife too.
Our room was ok, not damp at all as we’ve been to Mexico before & know you have to keep the AC on & the door to the terrace closed. We did find the room quite dark but it was clean & functional.
The buffet breakfast at the Seaside market was excellent & the egg lady was fantastic! I also had a mimosa with breakfast to start my day. My husband enjoyed the bacon & sausages.
We sometimes ordered room service for our lunch so we could spend a longer time in the sun.
We ate in all the restaurants for dinner. My favourite was the Culinariam & the Gastro Pub.
We loved walking along the beach before breakfast to watch the sunrise & see the 3 pelicans fishing.
We had a cabana most mornings on the beach & spent the afternoons at our swim up terrace.
Some afternoons were a little too noisy for us at the pool so we just walked to one of the beach bars for a drink. Towards the end of our holiday the noise wasn’t so bad at the pool & it was so much more enjoyable.
All the staff were amazing but a special mention to Alicia, Veronica, Gabrial & the Tui rep Caesar who told us how to catch the local collectivo bus to visit the ruins at Tulum.
We enjoyed several of the activities including shooting, the silent disco & even went to the foam party!
I’m sure we will return & hopefully will be able to give a 5 star review!

I really needed a break and decided to make a last minute booking at this resort.
I was there with my 20-year old daughter. This was the perfect place to relax and get away. The room was superb and we even had our own jacuzzi. Restaurants were great, specially the italian restaurant. Every staff member is polite, cheerful, friendly and makes you feel welcome.
Amazing experience all around, Seaside Palms is great!

Came to the Seaside palms with my family, a big group of 9. The resort experience has been amazing. The rooms, the atmosphere, the activities, the staff, all top notch. Never a dull moment, always something to busy yourself with and the staff do an amazing job keeping everything fun and engaging.
Maria, Luis, Carlos, Benjamin and Jesus were all standouts and I can't recommend the resort or the people who help make it what it is enough. Amazing all around!
