St Lucia is a feeling!

MissJJE (Over, United Kingdom) on Nov 20, 2021

Are you a vegetarian thinking of visiting Bel Jou? Do it! What a great place - a boutique feel but not over the top - wonderful food, friendly staff, practical rooms and a real feeling that everyone cares for the place. Great shuttle to the beach / town and what a beautiful island!

Fabulous Fortnight in beautiful St Lucia!

Glassowl99 (Bodicote, United Kingdom) on Nov 20, 2021

Wow!!! Currently writing this review as we wait for our transfer back to the airport after two sensational weeks in this gorgeous hotel! The hotel is fabulous, situated on a hill which gives stunning views over Castries and surrounding areas. The garden bungalow room we had was freshly decorated, spacious and cleaned every other day with fresh towels and new linen. The air-con worked brilliantly and the wildlife noises at night (frogs, crickets etc) really made it feel exotic! The food at the hotel is the best we have ever had in all inclusive. A mixture of buffet style during the evening and lunch and breakfast was served to you, all will breathtaking views. You could also choose to have lunch at the pool bar which was served to you and always cooked fresh, often having caught the fish that morning. The cocktail menu is something to be hold, fabulous inventions and lots of old classics make sipping them by the pool a pleasure! Ask for a Bob Marley and you won’t go wrong!! However the best thing about this place really is the staff. Far too many to name as all have been kind, attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much and always helping or advising with a smile! A special shout out to Lyndon the bar man, Samantha one of the servers and the brilliant Princess who made our holiday so very special. Dean the manager is also brilliant and we will be sad to say goodbye to what has been a fabulous holiday

The friendliest hotel ever!

Mary H (Stockbury, Kent) on Nov 20, 2021

This is not a posh hotel, but it is the kindest and friendliest hotel I have ever stayed. The team led by Dean ( don’t forget your name badge!) are amazing! Everywhere in the hotel and grounds are kept immaculate. Both pools are clean and plenty of sun beds, plus pool towels provided. Food in the restaurant is good, with plenty of choice and nicely served. Cocktails and wine are plentiful. Nothing is too much trouble. Our room was clean, comfortable beds, tv and great wifi. Our group felt safe as we were temperature checked everyday, sanitisers available and mask wearing. Even though many of the facilities were not available we did not feel deprived. Having the beach shuttle was great and there are sun beds for Bel Jou guests . It would be helpful to have more and better information on trips. We took a catamaran trip which was a bit like a zoo, disorganised, overcrowded , many guests had no seats and basically a party boat. As an older group we would prefer something a little quieter. If you choose Bel Jou hotel you will NOT be disappointed.

An absolute gem of a hotel

BarryH1893 on Nov 19, 2021

The service and friendliness of the staff at this hotel made for a wonderful atmosphere for the guests. The staff, led by the charismatic general manager Dean, clearly enjoy their jobs and are passionate about providing good service. The cleanliness, food and rooms are all good, but it is the staff that make this hotel special. The shuttle to the beach is really convenient, and the beach is superb. You do not get the hawkers you get on other beaches. I and many others agreed that they could not wait to return to this little gem. Thank you to the staff at Bel Jou, you are truly very special . 5 stars

Amazing place to stay, with the friendliest staff!

rosiegcook (London, United Kingdom) on Nov 19, 2021

An unbelievable hidden gem, with the warmest and friendliest staff. A great variety of food (with the best chips ever at the beach bar) and our wine glass was never empty! Princess and Samantha were stars for us, with nothing too much trouble at breakfast, lunch or dinner. Both pools and entertainment were brilliant. Hope to come back again to make the most of the fitness classes and self-serve beer!
