Just stayed the one night passing through for an early flight. They have used the Covid time to do a great renovation in the lobby and restaurant areas. The menu in the restaurant was really interesting. I recommend the Poke Bowl. The rooms look nice and modern and as usual the beds give a good sleep. What really impressed me was the staff. From the checkin attendant to the bellman who helped us with our bags at 5:30 in the morning, each one of them was cheerful, welcoming and fully attentive. Thanks so much for a good experience.
Love the new look!!!

We've been staying at the Gateway Hotel for a few years now and we love this hotel due to the ease of leaving my vehicle in a protected parking lot and not having to wait for or take a shuttle to the airport.
Even terminal 1 is a couple of minutes away on the tramway located just out side of the lobby.
I’ll be honest I was ready to give up on the convenience due to the renovations. We stayed her in July ( first business trip since in 18 months because of Covid ) when the entire hotel was almost shut down while they renovated. From parking in the underground maze to the mouse and Even taking the tramway required us to walk across the street to terminal 3 and crossing back over.
Things were a little better in early October when we came back. The new lobby and restaurant ( including a Starbucks) were open and parking was back to normal.
They did an amazing job in the lobby and check in area! Bright and modern however it was the same old outdated room with no ports to charge your phone with.
Last weeks stay ( November 12th ) was absolutely fantastic!! The new room is probably one of the most functional and relaxing I’ve been in for a long time!!
Lots of space, very modern lighting and a nice round table workstation with power ports and yes charging ports.
The old bathtubs were taken out and replaced with a large glass shower with and additional hand wand and lots of pressure.
They’ve also gotten rid of the tiny shampoo and hand cream bottles and replaced them with a pump bottle and body wash.
I am very impressed and happy I waited for the finished product. I noticed that there are still a lot of rooms being worked on therefore I’ll be sure to request an updated room when I go back next week.
A little more expensive than the airport strip hotels but we’ll worth it!!!
Restful stay before holidays

My wife and I stayed here the night before an early flight to Mexico. I was quite nervous about the reviews I’d read about the hotel being under renovation and quite noisy and dirty, but other than some construction hoarding in the lower lobby, I didn’t notice.
We parked in the underground parking for the airport and found the access to the hotel very convenient. Check in was easy and quick and we were given one of the newly renovated rooms facing the city and on the top floor. ( We requested a room far away from the monorail and that’s exactly what we got)
Room was clean and spacious, and extremely quiet. Didn’t hear the planes at all. Bed was comfortable, bathroom at opposite end of the room which is good if your partner is a light sleeper and you need to use the facilities in n the middle of the night. Lol. Our TV didn’t seem to work properly, but we didn’t bother calling for assistance with it either so can’t really blame the hotel for that.
Lobby bar is great, good service, good drinks. Can’t comment on dinner as we had pre planned to go to the Keg, but we’ll give the restaurant here a try next time.
Access to the airport is fantastic as you just cross a covered walkway and you’re there. Very convenient.
We’ll definitely come back here to stay the night before our next trip.
Renovated room overlooking the airport

Check in was a breeze, despite the massive renovation going on. The friendly clerk at check in 'gave us a nice room' and it was a very nice surprise to walk into renovated room overlooking the tarmac. Being our first real trip in such a long time it was so exciting to see the bustling activity below. We booked a park and fly rate so we were able to park at the hotel lot for 8 full days while we jetted off to the Caribbean. Convenience is supreme when you've got an early morning flight. This hotel is super convenient as it is connected to terminal 3. From check out to being thru security took no more than 15 mins. Of course, upon our return the convenience of having our vehicle within minutes of the arrivals level was great. I'd recommend staying here to anyone traveling from terminal 3. The price was a little steep, but that is the price you have to pay for convenience.
Worst Stay ever. Don't stay here during construction

We checked in after a long overseas flight on Oct 31. The plan was to sleep in and relax before our flight the next day. About 8am or perhaps earlier there were noises coming from the room above. By 9am we could hardly hear ourselves talk from all the construction noise. What annoyed me the most was that we were not given any warning. The staff obviously knew about it because they told us they had been putting up with the racket for days.
Two weeks earlier we stayed at the same hotel and had a pleasant experience., We were sent a survey after to fill in. This time there was no survey. I guess the manager knew how we would feel.
Next time I will stay at the ALT hotel because we do find it convenient to stay right at the airport.
