could use some updating, but oh, that view!

Hotel Westin Bayshore was the perfect location for exploring Stanley park and the waterfront walk by the convention center and BC Place. Room in tower has lovely view. Thought we would see BC Place and seaplanes but instead looking the other direction. Which was lovely with fall colors and the hills beyond. And amazing reflections on the water in the marina. Not the most comfortable bed/pillows, but fine The bathroom was our least favorite part. At first glance it looked great, but we began to realize lots of the design choices were not practical. Prime example: the shower which has no door. So it doesn't warm up and was really uncomfortable as soon as the water was off. also sprayed water out of the shower a bit so we wasted a towel mopping up the floor. The huge countertop was handy, but I would have preferred a different arrangement with a more standard shower. Also I hate sliding doors on bathrooms! It does not contain the sounds, light or smells. And ours would sort of catch as it closed, which made a loud noise (waking up anyone trying to sleep). Overall it was a nice spot, but we decided we were paying for the view more than the actual room
Pretty neat place

I love this hotel. It's alittle outside of the downtown core, but it's a pretty neat place to stay. They have bicycles that you can borrow to cycle Stanley Park. The hot tub definitely needs a service call as none of the jets work but the rest of the hotel makes up for it. The patio doors out to the ocean are awesome and you can hear the wind whistling. It's a neat place to stay for a few days
