Great hotel & staff with an overly-sensitive mini-bar we did not use.

One night stay post-cruise for a group of nine in 4 rooms.
The staff was very professional and courteous. The concierge was especially helpful in giving me ideas to salvage part of a tour we missed due to slow ship disembarkation.
The rooms were clean and well-appointed.
At check-in, the staff informed us the electronic auto-billing mini-bar is VERY sensitive. I passed that message on to all members of our group. At check-out, I was told I had purchased a bottle of wine from the mini-bar which I had not. I never even open the door of the mini-bar. The staff removed the mini-bar charge from my room bill.
The whole electronic "big brother" mini-bar seems out of place at such a posh hotel. Must not be working "as planned" either if part of the check-in routine by the staff is "watch out for the mini-bar."
We arrived early and checked our luggage with the bell staff and it was in our rooms later that day. Greatly appreciated.
Upon check-out, cabs were called to take our group to the airport. The process went seamlessly as one would expect.
While small things perhaps, not having to worry about the small things means a lot when traveling.
Fantastic location close to everything

If I wasn't comparing this to the Banff Springs and Lake Louise I would probably give it 5 stars. The hotel is very nice, it's clean, the food is good but getting hot water in the morning took about 5 minutes of standing in the shower! The first morning at the buffet we went 30 minutes before closing and we were disappointed that the fruit options had been left out so long that they may as well have been dehydrated. The staff were very attentive and polite which is expected from this type of property.
With the shops and being downtown close to social issues we saw a few unsavoury caracters in the hotels but they were usually pretty quick to control that.
