We would return to this resort! All the employees are lovely and gracious. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms may be dated somewhat, but are very clean and housekeeping did a super job each day. Pools also were very clean. There were plenty of loungers available at the pool each day. The entertainment team did a great job with water aerobics each day. ISABEL took exceptional care of us poolside, making sure we had all the cocktails we needed. Buffets were fine for breakfast and lunch, and several of the Ala cartes were exceptional for this price point. We were able to book a restaurant each evening we were there, including the day of our arrival. Our favorites were La Fleur, Mama Mia, and the Thai Miso. It’s true that the resort is large, so be prepared to walk a bit (we were happy to burn off the deserts and pina coladas). The lobby to the beach was about 1/2 mile. Our room was a regular suite, no upgrade, and we were about midpoint of the resort. With the exception of not being able to order Tito’s (I made due with Absolute), I didn’t notice anything missing. The beach wasn’t very big and had a lot of seaweed when we were there. And it’s true there are a LOT of animals. The coatis are much more bold than I’ve seen at other resorts…if you have snacks in your beach bag and leave your lounger, you will likely come back to a bag that’s been rummaged through. For me, I loved the monkeys, deer and coatis. it made the trip very memorable . A great 8 days.

Must of been the worst holiday ever food was rotten try to booked restaurants but couldn't has the were always booked out beach was full of pebbles stone wifi was crap my wee housekeeper was fantastic full of beans if anyone going best bet to upgrade your room before you go has they r looking $380 for a upgrade entertainment was very bad also plus it better to have someone with you

We stayed at the Grand Sunset Princess and for restaurants/supper our experience at La Fleur was phenomenal. Luis was our waiter and he was the most attentive and the most friendly waiter we had the entire time. 10/10 recommend LaFleur for supper. We also dined at Mama Mia and had a very good supper, although dessert was lackluster. The resort itself is nice, I love all the wildlife and the greenery is beautiful.

We had a few issues but Alphonso and Andrea pulled out the stops to make my wife's Birthday special. Once again thank you both. All staff are amazing and make you feel welcome, food is always piping hot just the way it should be and delicious, many thanks

Just returned from 11nites here. What a disappointment!! Says has so many pools...But unless you are strong and able you can't get in or out of them...Metal ladders only entry in bar pools,and when you do find steps,only opposite swim up rooms. NO parasols at all majority of sunbeds NO steps 3 out of 4 pools VERY rocky entrance to sea. The rooms.... No waste basket in room Plugs for charging over other side of room One bedside table Arriving.. maybe a map handed to guests would help,had no idea where we were,just to be told use app!! This hotel is never 5*. Pushing a 4* After 25yrs of coming to play del Carmen and staying in a large number of hotels,this was our most disappointing Shall not return
