We spent 10 nights here in a preferred club junior suite. The room was clean and spacious, with good air con and an amazing rainfall shower. Our balcony also had a lounging bed with an outdoor hot tub. The resort itself is large, clean, well maintained and has neatly landscaped gardens with some surprising wildlife just roaming around the resort. We saw iguanas, other lizards, a small fox and pelicans! The resort has a great selection of swimming pools to relax aside, suitable for both kids and adults with additional dedicated kids pools with lots of water structures to keep them entertained. The pool side staff are attentive and polite in bringing you drinks regularly which helps you feel even more relaxed. The pool closest to the beach is the most loveliest, with upbeat music and plenty of activities run by the entertainment staff. Jacqueline was always bright, smiling and full of energy and was always trying to encourage us to get involved in activities. The beach in front of the resort has white sands and turquoise water, we loved the beach although bar staff here are not as attentive and we rarely were asked if we wanted drinks so be prepared to make your own trips to the bar. All of the staff at the resort were friendly, helpful and hard working. Some guests we witnessed being a bit brash with staff and forgetting basic manners, so basic manners and patience goes a long way with these hard working people. The food at the resort was fresh, tasty and a very wide selection to appeal to all tastes and food throughout the day and evening is readily available whenever you are hungry. We didn't use room service, but it does clearly state on the room app that wait time is around 90 mins on room service so that your expectations are managed. The only restaurant we didn't eat at was the french restaurant. This was because of the dress policy for men having to wear a shirt. This felt a very dated policy and needs to be brought in line with the relaxed dress code of the other restaurants. Although the resort had a number of activities on throughout each day for all ages, we felt these were poorly advertised or had no advertisement and the app was unreliable for any activity information or location. The resort has a small dolphin park which I think has about 6 to 8 dolphins in it. In this day and age it was sad to see these animals in such a small enclosure and was not an activity we wanted to participate in to support this cruel captivity. We booked a tour with Amstar near the front desk, to do Chichen Itza, swimming in a cenote and a visit to Valladolid. This was an utter rip off! DO NOT book with Amstar. They are extortionately overpriced and they outsource to local tour providers who provide shoddy services. Our Chichen Itza tour was awful. Find cheaper tours online! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at this resort. Apart from the morality of supporting the captivity of dolphins and the awful tour experience we would consider staying here again, but obviously we would never use Amstar again or spend any money supporting the captivity and entertainment of dolphins.

We stayed for 4 nights and loved our time here. There are plenty to do for everyone. The ocean was warm and the sand heavenly! Our son absolutely loved the kids club (Explorers)! So much so he would get upset when we came to pick him up. All the caretakers are the sweetest! The drinks were good. Waiters stop by all the time by the pool to ask if need anything. The food was good too. The only downside in my opinion is that most restaurants (besides the buffet and another one) are closed for lunch, but they compensate by setting up tents around lunchtime to cook different poolside foods. Highly recommend!

A big shout out to Jackie she is amazing! She encourage our family to really join in and is so positive and fun! Even bought my children some sweets and takis to take home. She is a gem to the hotel and beautiful person! Thanks Jackie for making our stay enjoyable

Overall, the resort and staff are good. However there are still things to consider as describing above.

One of, if not the best all inclusive Caribbean resorts we’ve ever been to. Our kids absolutely loved every min. The pools are all huge and no matter how packed the resort is, it never feels that way at all. And the restaurants are all top notch. Especially the Brazilian
