I was here for a conference and was pleasantly surprised at the gorgeous facility, well kept grounds and overall service. The Massage at the spa was very relaxing and I enjoyed time at the adult only pool with my book.

Great experience at the Hyatt Regency. Check in was easy and our room was very comfortable. All of the rooms have a fridge that you can actually use (not the sensor mini bar type), and when I needed to have something refrigerated after check out, the staff was very accommodating. Our package included breakfast, and while the buffet was largely the same both days, the selection was good and the food was tasty. The resort is huge, and there are several different pool areas. We only took advantage of the adult hot tub, but it was very spacious (and quiet on a Saturday night). Overall a great stay!

Our family LOVED the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point! It's a great option for adults needing to relax & also keeps the kiddos entertained without having to ever leave the property. As with other Regency properties, your visit starts off with champagne or mimosas upon arrival. Be forewarned, there's also a separate desk to get your resort band and while you're getting "tagged", there's a really good chance you'll get an offer to visit the sister property (aka time-share) next door to earn Hyatt points or a Visa gift card. Let's just start off with the fact that there's 4 pools on-site. Kiddos get measured at the Towel Depot by the Adventure Pool and are given the appropriate water slide bracelet based on their height. 1. Waterfall Pool (I believe this is the only one that isn't heated) 2. Adult-Only Pool 3. Lazy River Pool - connected to the 2 racing water slides and the tube slide. 48" minimum height for both slides. Single and double tube floats are available here. 4. Adventure Pool - features the Corkscrew slide for kiddos 42" and up as well as a smaller toddler slide if your munchkins are under 42". There's also a zero entry side to this pool. [ Private Beach ] Tons of lounge chairs and umbrellas are available when you arrive at Big Hickory Island so no need to pack and haul your own. Just remember there's no food or towel service at the beach so (a) pack drinks/snacks and (b) pick up towels @ the Towel Depot by the Adventure Pool before you leave for the ferry. [ Water Ferry ] It's super easy to reserve a spot online but our only "issue" was the ferry frequency to/from the private beach. TIP #1: Book the night before if you're planning to take a morning shuttle. I booked the morning of and the 9:45 and 10:45 shuttles were already full. There's an hourly schedule from 9:45 to 4:15. You can reserve seats for the ferry TO the beach but there isn't a reservation system for leaving the beach. TIP #2: When leaving the beach, I recommend arriving at the shuttle ~30+ minutes earlier especially if you're leaving toward the end of the day. If the ferry hits capacity, then you're totally stuck waiting an extra hour. The two dads in our group had to wait around for the next ferry despite us getting to the dock at 3:50ish for the 4:15 shuttle return (the ferry already hit the 49 max capacity). [ Activities ] Check the Towel Depot for the calendar of daily activities (see pix for a sample schedule). There's rock climbing, poolside games, lawn games and water slides for all ages/heights. If you're looking for a quiet spot, there's a serious over abundance of lounge areas both indoors and outdoors - even a couple hammocks near the waterfall pool. It's hard to imagine ALL of these lounge areas ever hitting capacity. There's seating practically everywhere you turn. [ Restaurants ] There's 5 on-site restaurants if you don't want to leave the property: (1) Cool Beans Marketplace - If you need a sweet treat, s'mores kits and ice cream are available for purchase at the Cool Beans Cafe which also has everything from Starbucks, snacks, pizza, smoothies and to-go sandwiches, etc. (2) Tarpon Bay has live music in the bar on weekends and a fire-pit out front, there's also a screened in area for sunset dining. (3) The buffet breakfast @ Tanglewood was decent - your kiddos pay their age. Lunch and dinner menus also available. (4) There's a daily Happy Hour @ Mangroves Bar and lite bar bites. (5) We also liked the convenience of Corkscrew Pool Bar & Grill. The servers here also take orders poolside. Otherwise, Coconut Point (outdoor mall) is literally a quick, 3-minute drive from the Hyatt Regency with other dining options. [ Parking ] Valet or self-park. The easiest option to access your car is to go an extra level down from the lobby elevator (P-level) or it's a quick walk from the front entrance. There's also 5 car-charging stations. [ Rooms ] Pretty standard. Fridge, Keurig, safe (no microwave). Ours had a mini balcony. No room for a patio chair or table but opens if you want fresh air. The only thing that stood out a bit was the 65" tv which was kinda massive compared to the size of the room. No complaints there! The resort is also pet-friendly if you just can't leave your fur baby behind. So many cute pup guests that made my own kiddo miss her pup even more. The only comment to the Hyatt staff is to perhaps remind kids/parents of the daily activity schedule when picking up towels. We were kinda bummed that we missed a few of the afternoon activities on the first and second days of our visit.

Very fun place for family with kids and just for adults. Lots of stuff to do and plenty of places for kids to play and areas for just adults. Only thing I wasn’t happy with was my room. For the money you pay the rooms are nothing special.
