12 nights booked here.... not by any means first time to Waikiki, first to Ilikai. We fortunately able to book early checkin, apt 1336 .. which was great considering 0600 arrival at HNL. First impression... a bit dated! Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom was adequate. Locale great. Our view was over lagoon, so we had a great view of fireworks. I will admit I found the bright lights from the Hilton a night, a bit much.. closing blinds minimal effect. I think I would prefer marina view next time. Our bedroom (twin) and lounge area a different matter. I found the covering sheet on my bed had been stained/marked, which wasn’t immediately noticed as covered by decorative cloth. Our fake timber flooring had been repaired however it was very obvious and our lounge (was sofa lounge) was rather disgusting. It was badly marked and stained, it truly needed a good clean. We simply didn’t like to sit on it. Probably worse was the aircon. There were instructions not to go below 72f. Sorry, but that is a bit too warm to sleep thru! It was one of those noisy old style, at floor level. Totally ineffective and most definitely needs replacing. We noticed during the period other apartments better appointed, so this experience wouldn’t put us off staying here again. We just need to find out when renovated, hopefully we will pick better next time. I couldn’t recommend 1336 in its present state.

The staff our helpful, the suites clean and tastefully decorated. I had a kitchenette it was very niat and decked out with all dishes and utensils.Te view was spectacular and the walk to the lagoon for a swim was only 400 metres. I was very happy with my stay as it was 10 years ago that I first stayed at the illikai hotel.

Located in the back corner of the twelfth floor (1243), this two bedroom two bath unit offered great value for money--especially if you don't need to park. I came in a large group so we split up and left the car with the other half of our tribe. The unit was well appointed with granite counters and floors throughout. Coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and all the other amenities that you could want. Go downstairs and get some beer for the fridge or some ground coffee for breakfast. This place is truly your home away from home. Two walls offered panoramic views of the Honolulu shoreline and the lagoon at the HHV. On Fridays I bet the fireworks show would be fabulous!

We stayed in apartment 816 which had a king bed, small sitting area, kitchenette and bathroom. We travelled with a baby so arranged a hire cot through the cleaners, cost was $79USD for 8 nights. We booked the accommodation through Waikiki Beach Rentals which were great to deal with. This hotel is located approx 10-15minute walk out of Waikiki, next door to Hilton Village, 5min walk to Ala Moana Shopping Cente and within a 2min walk to 2 ABC stores. This is the second time we have stayed here. We love the location and style of accommodation, would high.y recommend to anyone travelling to Wakiki. Rates are really reasonable compared to other hotels in the area.

Chester was the man. Took exceptional care of my wife and I on our honeymoon! I’m on no sleep just flew back from Cali in bed writing this review because this hotel was the bomb. Fireworks right outside, suite like rooms completely renovated. Private balcony... off the super touristy strip in Waikiki but centrally located to skip out the city or go downtown. The customer service though was dope and Chester went above and beyond to help my wife and I with all our endeavors and checking in and out! He deserves a raise. Genuinely caring for all his guests it truly does make the difference. Only negative was the hotel doesn’t have AC in lobby area because it’s outside which is fine, sorry I’m used to casinos with full blown AC but the elevators didn’t have it either and cramming 10 people in an elevator after everybody just went to the beach was rather gross... take note management. I’m still giving you 5 star because my man Chester at the front desk was phenomenal! Cheers!
