I booked my stay for Sunday July 2, 2023 checking out Friday July 7, 2023! A situation came up and I had to shorten my stay and check out on Wednesday July 5! I stopped at front desk and told them I would be checking out the next day. I was assured there would be no problem! That next morning around 10AM I went to the front desk and told them I was checking out. I was given a statement of charges to date and assumed I was checked out!!!!! When I returned home I saw that my credit card was charged for the days I WAS NOT IN THE HOTEL AND HAD LEFT DAYS EARLIER!!!!!!!!! After numerous phone calls and resorting to having my credit card dispute the hotel extra days charges, TO NO AVAIL!!!!!!!!!!! The "GOLDEN NUGGET WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY!!!!!! I used to stay in the Golden Nugget many times on my trips to Vegas. But now I WILL NEVER STAY IN THE GOLDEN NUGGET AGAIN,

Weekday stay

Ashpastime (Bakersfield, California) on May 03, 2024

Stayed for two nights during the week. We were able to upgrade our room at check in. The hotel itself is very nice, it was crowded however we were able to dine on-site at Saltgrass which was delicious. The room was nice and quiet we stayed in the rush tower. We used the valet service for parking which made coming in and out east. The location is easy to find and there is a lot going on outside on Fremont street.

The Golden Nugget is not in its Golden Era.

This hotel is alright. Nothing spectacular, but it’s a good location downtown and has a decent casino. Wheelchair lift was broken at the front door, which was a hassle with someone in a wheelchair just for check-in and valet. The elevators weren’t functioning properly and some were out of order, which led to some long waits in the mornings trying to get down. Drink service was minimal (as with every hotel in Vegas now). Some areas very outdated, including our room in the Gold Tower. The door stuck so you basically had to throw your shoulder into it to get it open, and then slam it forcefully closed behind you. For the price you pay, I don’t feel it was worth it. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

fremont street

The one and only reason to stay there is the super access to Fremont street. Front desk unfriendly, the access to the shower controls in the bath room are weird and not user friendly. I had to call and be on hold several times to get my detail receipt. The front desk had told me they could print boarding passes but then had much trouble doing it-took half hour. There is no simple printed map of the hotel- said they lost the master and I must use cel- the map on cel was very hard to follow. Ads show several resturants but at least two were closed with no info as to why nor when they would open.
