My wife and i had a couples trip after many years. The sandals experience was beyond compare to many other vacations that we have taken. Highly recommend this location and chain to be a great experience overall. The food was great, service was fantastic and entertainment was also good. Despite the bad weather, they took extra care to clean the beaches and make the experience extraordinary.

Sandals Royal Carribean was an enjoyable place to stay but not without its' drawbacks. The good: The staff, for the most part, was very attentive and friendly. The food was good, for the most part. The facility was very clean. The bad: We went to the French restaurant for breakfast. The Eggs Benedict looked and tasted like it had been under warming lights for an extended period of time, the eggs dry and the English muffin soggy. We ate dinner at the French restaurant as well. The service was great, the food mediocre. Ordered breakfast at the Pub one morning when rain closed the French restaurant and the food took an hour to arrive and when it did some was hot, some not. The buffet in Spices restaurant proved to be the best and was consistently good and tasty. Every day a man would go around at about 3pm knocking on doors asking if you need "water and soft drinks" to replenish your mini-fridge. What he didn't tell you is that he also had beer and wine. We were our of beer and wine in the mini-fridge for two days before figuring this out. Obviously the draft beer at the bar is cheaper than the canned bear in the room and I believe this is an attempt by Sandals to save money. Not worth it Sandals-you tarnish your reputation while doing so. The facility is worn. The handles on the closet practically falling off, the furniture scraped up and old looking. I took a whirlpool bath and one of the jets popped out, obviously broken. This place is LOUD! It's right next ro the airport and the parade of planes going over the resort at 500' remind you of that. The walls in the facility are paper-thin and you can hear everything. Want to sleep past 7am? Better bring ear plugs. We came for my son's wedding, which was organized and performed by the Sandals staff. The man performing the ceremony, an employee of the resort, bragged that he'd performed over 10,000 weddings. He pronounced my daughter-in-law's name Daniel (male) instead of Danniel (female), a small cultural error that will live forever on the videos taken of the wedding. I think some advanced preparation on his part, like "how do you pronounce your name?" was in order. The small beach reception was lovely and well thought out. Sandals touts your trip as "tip-free" however the bus drivers and luggage handlers they provide remind you that they aren't Sandals employees and work you for tips. Sandals, NO TIP IS NO TIP! Sandals Royal Carribean used to be a great place, by its' looks. Now it's just average

The weather was not terrific, but we had a great time anyway! The staff make this resort so special. Our butler team of Shana-Kay and Dwayne were full of surprises and made our stay perfect. Several others who deserve shout outs are Chevelle, who brought us coffee and a smile every morning at 7 am on the dot, and Tracey Ann, who brought us cocktails and humor by the pool. Lovely to see Duwayne (who was our cabana butler the last time we were on property several years ago) and happy to see that he is now a full fledged butler! Finally, Alicia and Letonia at the spa gave us really wonderful massages, and worked out some kinks we didn't even know we had! The new restaurants (Spices, Bombay and La Tavola) are all very good. We did go over to Sandals Montego Bay and ate at Butch's as well. Every experience was good! We also toured the overwater bungalows. If you get a chance to do this, you should. They are beautiful, and very private. The new Sandringham was just getting finished when we were there. The construction was very unobtrusive, and the new building is beautiful.

Our 7 day vacation at Sandals Royal Caribbean was an amazing time! We gad a beachfront butler suite and our two butlers - Akine and Andre we the MOST AMAZING part of the entire trip! Every need including everything we didn't even know we needed - was taken care of for us. Thank you two for taking such good care of us! We ate at both the Royal Caribbean and the nearby Montenegro Bay - Indian, French, Sushi, Thai, Steakhouse, Seafood - each restaurant was unique and fabulous . . . Sushi was so good we went back. And not just the food - the service as well . . . can I just say . . . AMAZING! Couldn't leave this year without booking another for 2021!
