Rodwell, Sammy and Liden at the Mexican Restaurant were fantastic! Definitely worth making reservations for. As usual The Barcelo doesn’t disappoint!

Checkin was fine until we got our room. Room was disgusting. Paint peeling off the ceiling broken glass on patio. Room smelt like carpet fresh. Do not do garden view there is no garden just weeds. Maid service was horrible maid without looking cleaned off table knocking hearing aides on floor and could not find one of them. When finally found it was broken and alls they can say is I do nothing. Manager on duty is useless and only response is I have to believe my employees. My advice do not stay here. Food is awful. You are getting cheap liquor that will make you ill.

My husband and I Went to Aruban Seafood. Carmen Chavez was our waitress she was very attentive and sweet, she was good at recommending was good and brought everything to us in an extraordinary timely fashion. The food was amazing and we highly recommend this restaurant! We ate outside and the ocean breeze added such a nice ambiance to our dinner.

Rodney Sammy Mindy at Mexican restaurant was fantastic. Service and food was exceptional. Staff went above and beyond for all patrons at dinner. The food was delicious you were not rushed. Staff made you feel welcome as if you were family. Top notch

3 Rooms / 6 Adults: Literally the worst all-inclusive resort EVER. I love Aruba and have stayed many times across the island. I had such high hopes for the Barcelo based on reviews and their FB pages. Within a few hours of arriving, it was pretty clear that if you did not book the Royal Level you were bottom of the barrel to anyone who worked at the resort. The only employees who smiled at us were housekeeping - everyone else who works there is miserable and should not be in a customer service role. The food was gross and made us all sick to our stomachs on the daily. Also - there is no grab-and-go. If you want a snack, the staff make you stay at a table to finish it. There are literally ZERO snacks. I asked to take my Italian (only good restaurant imo) leftovers up to my room and the server had to ASK MANAGEMENT FOR PERMISSION. They do not want you leaving the restaurant area with food. They want you to order that same (gross) food via the- NOT INCLUDED with non-royal - room service which is so overpriced we went off-property to get decent food. There are 65 chairs at the pool and 800+ rooms - you do the math. There is only 1 pool and by the end of the day its so cloudy you need to be drunk to swim in it. This raises the other point - you will not get a buzz off of their mixed drinks. They act like they are giving you huge pours - but its clearly watered down booze. If you do catch a zing from a frozen drink, its not fun because its well-liquor and is rotting out your insides. You WILL be hugging the bowl all night. Stick with wine and request they open a new bottle for you. Even the Balshi tap is watered down. I love Aruba and our camp of folks will be back, but NEVER EVER to this hotel. I could literally go for another hour about things like the beds (no pillows unless you ask - multiple times mind you), the towels, lack of lotion at a BEACH RESORT, rude waitstaff, reservations canceled "by accident"...etc etc... Bottom line - KEEP SEARCHING! This hotel needs to be closed down and completely upgraded from the staff to the floorboards. I feel so duped and sad that I spent my only bonus on bringing my family somewhere they hated. Shame on this place.
