Active Advisories
The Bay Gardens Beach resort will be undergoing a substantial expansion project set to begin mid-December 2023. This project is expected to last approximately 18 months.
While some noise may be heard, all efforts will be made to minimize guest impact during this time. Main construction will occur between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM daily.
To ensure guests safety, the construction site will be hoarded off however this may be visible from the garden view room block.
Please note the following enhancements and interim arrangements:
1. Modern Accommodations: The expansion includes 9 new modern 3-bedroom villas.
2. Dining Experience: While the new restaurant is being built, the Sea Grapes Restaurant will be temporarily relocated to a new location behind the 700 room block.
3. Reinvigorated Spa: While the new spa is being built, the current spa will be temporarily relocated to a serene setting upstairs from the lobby.
The services, including dining, spa treatments, and recreational activities, will continue to be available without interruption.

Same menu basically every day Waited 1.5 hours for each meal except breakfast buffet which was the exact same every single day. Overcrowded beach Very tired rooms with things broken or not working Cruise people can buy day passes and take the chairs around the pool Staff serve people with cash before “all inclusive” guests
Fun vibrant hotel in great location - not for you if you like peace and quiet

We are just back from 10 days at the Bay Gardens Beach Resort, a busy, vibrant vibe not so much a relaxing quiet retreat. Overall we had a fantastic holiday and experienced much of what the island has to offer including the essential Friday night street party. I'd also highly recommend the Sunset Pitons trip which was a 1pm pickup, afternoon sail to the Pitons, snorkel at Sugar Bay resort and then a party atmosphere on the catamaran on the way back arriving around 7pm. Plus a water taxi to Pigeon island for $20 was well worth it, we hiked up to the fort and second peak then cooled off with a cold drink at the Jambe de Bois cafe and a snorkel in the beautiful bay. Also recommend walking to the end of the beach to visit Maries bar for a local experience of St Lucia hospitality. Hotel Highs; *Great location, easy 10 mins walk into Rodney Bay town, next door to Spinnakers restaurant *Clean rooms and facilities *Friendly chatty restaurant staff *Huge choice of cocktails and drinks, water always available from dispenser *Security on beach always provided loungers and umbrella, happy to help *A la carte restaurant for lunch and dinner - excellent quality tasty food, shame about the wait *Hobie Cats and SUPs available from 9-15.30 *Spa massages were lovely but difficult to book an ideal time - perhaps because of cruise/day passes Hotel Challenges: *Slow service for food, even when the restaurant was quiet there was often a 45-60 minute wait. One day we had to wait 2 hours to be served a wrap for lunch, would have rather spent the time on the beach *Cruise ship guests invade the beach some days, rows of loungers packed in like sardines, also using hotel facilities which delays the service for hotel guests *Noise all the time - either from the pool music or guests using their own speakers on the beach or chatting loudly in groups *A lot of locals trying to sell their items on the beach, some were really nice and you were happy to chat to them and get to know them. A few others were aggressive and/or seemed to be unstable. We didn't feel threatened though *Towel hut staff were always very grumpy and sometimes the towels were frayed or bleach marked
