6 day getaway was not long enough but needed. On arrival ALEXA from concierge was great, and she helped by bestie get cake and pirate show dinner for my bithday. ALEXA and MAIDA from concierge were helpful.

My boyfriend and I came to crown paradise to celebrate my birthday. Overall we had a really great time and the resort was very nice. We stayed for 5 nights and were very pleased with our experience. All of the staff were very kind, friendly, and accommodating. With it being covid, all staff were wearing masks and most also wore safety glasses and/or face shields. Everything was clean and staff did a great job at sanitizing all tables before we’d sit down to eat. We decided to stay here for its all inclusive options, which was great to not have to worry about food and drinks, however the food wasn’t very good. We ate at both the buffet and one of the restaurants and the restaurant was better, but everything we ate throughout our stay tasted very sweet and lacked salt. Other than the food though, everything was great. They have cabanas on the beach that are free to use with employees offering service for food and drinks. They have kayaks and beach volleyball to also use for free. Lots of activities and spaces to lay out and relax. Being right on the beach was amazing, however you do have a lot of people who walk around selling items such as blankets, jewelry, toys, massages, oysters. I personally don’t mind that part but something to just be aware of. Overall I would recommend this resort to friends and family but advise them to probably plan to eat out at local spots instead of eating most meals at the resort.

Resort: When we arrived, they checked our temperature. We had our bags tucked until our room was ready and we were given a drink as well. Very friendly welcome staff but not many masks in the lobby area from guests. Mind you there is a bar there and you cant drink through your masks. And they check you at the airport and once you arrive so its assumed you are not infected as well. Still masks are required to enter the food areas and to get food, they turn you away without one. Basically any public space (other than the pool) where you cannot be seperated from other people, masks are required. So seated at your own table, in a cabana, if you were drinking or eating, you didnt need one. But everywhere else most people except locals wore one. Many many locals at the resort and none wearing masks. Elevator had a sign that said 4 peope max unless all your group and they didn't listen to that. Annoying but given we did wear masks, we didnt care enough to complain. There were hand sanitizer stations all over the hotel and you are required to use some before being seated at the buffet. Every staff member wore a mask. We were there for a week, and we had our masks where required and we never really felt threatened and we returned home uninfected. Pool: 3 "pools" at this resort itself. The skybar (which is absolutely beautiful and where we spent 6 out of our 7 days the entire day) No food though and its quite the trek to go all the way down to the buffet to eat. Decent size but does fill up quickly by late afternoon. Mornings into lunch were pretty empty though. Some days it was just our group and this one older lady and one other couple. It does have a swim up area. The main pool near the buffet, biggest pool, standard public pool size. They had games etc all week. Also contests and prizes. Swim up bar : this bar is actually right next to the main pool, almost attached. Its next to the snack bar but its incredibly small. We didnt go in it a single time because it was far too crowded (covid life choices) and obviously no masks as you're in the pool and it was shaded. Room: Clean, the housekeeper changed our sheets and cleaned the entire room every day - appreciated but a bit excessive given the epidemic. I felt bad for her having to do it every day but there was no sign to let her know we didnt need it. Tv shuts off automatically every 30-40 minutes if someone doesn't press a button on the remote. And it wouldn't be AS annoying if when it did this, it didnt reset the channel back to the first one. I dont even know the purpose of this function, in the evening when we were done for the day this happened to us frequently then having to look for the channel all over again. Most movies are at least an hour an a half so that should be the starting point and the channel should not reset. I strongly, stronggggly recommend staying in the new tower, we saw the rooms in the older part of the hotel and they are horribly dark and dingey. They obviously have a better view but the rooms themselves were small and "dirty" looking. The new rooms are open and spacious, clean and up to date. Only complaint is the bathroom door in the new tower isnt a real door that actually closes so theres absolutely no privacy between you going to the bathroom and anyone you share a room with. The dividing wall between the bathroom and livingroom has a big cut out so that doesn't conceal any sounds nor any naked bodies. In fact you can take part in an entire conversation while in bathroom if you need. In the old section its a real bathroom. The resort also had shows in the evening but we didnt attend any so i am unable to say how they were. Beach Cluttered as its Narrow. All the cabanas were on top of eachother. But it had a lot going on there. Some vendors but not too pushy. Water was swimmable but we didnt personally go in. Quite the hike to the towel station though. FOOD: Breakfast: Very little in terms of variety, and its understood people are coming to mexico so they should expect mexican breakfast options but the reality is they should have regular american options as well for those with sensitivities as well. Most breakfast options had onions in them or were soggy so most days i picked on very little and went hungry until the snackbar opened at noon. They did have omelettes but the line was absolutely atrocious and the eggs always seemed runny. Snack bar: Hot dogs, Mexican Tacos, burgers and fries every day. Not much variety but given the breakfasts were so awful it was nice to have something consistent and regular to fill up on after all the sun and drinks on an empty stomach every day. Only problem is it doesn't open till 12 so if youre an early riser, its a long morning. Lunch: Hit or miss. Some days was great, Some days didn't, not the end of the world given the snack bar was open at the same time so worst case scenario you could always count on that. But most days they had a starch that was edible, rice or mashed potatoes, which was good to pad your stomach for the day ahead. Definitely more "regular options", sometimes mixed vegetables, chicken, pork option every day, always salad. Julio at the lunch buffet, very rude. He was short with everyone and rushed everyone trying to order, had a face like he was miserable and couldnt stand his job. Irritating just to be near. One of the days it seemed like neither of the people working spoke English so you couldn't ask what was in anything as it wasnt something i picked up. Most of the other staff knew both even if just enough to get by. Dinner The best of all the food hours. Most edible options which was appreciated at the end of a full day. Vegetables, potatoes or mashed, lots of chicken, fish and pork options. Quesadillas, rice, stew etc. Some mexican choices, pastas and salad and desert. Hector at the buffet was the most kind and pleasant individual! He greeted us so sweetly every day and always made sure we had what we needed. One evening i missed dinner as i was sick (sunstroke) and he remembered our group and noticed i was missing and wished me well! Restaurants: Unfortunately due to the poor customer service at this resort in terms of arrangements we only got to try one a la carte restaurant, which was the mexican restaurant. However the experience there was good. I was not going to get a soup because im not a big soup person, but The server recommended one so i trusted him, and it was delicious. Ivan was absolutely amazing! He was so friendly and quick to switch our plates when we finished. He didnt leave anyone sitting long. He was also teaching us little spanish words when he came by, nothing too intense, just little things but it was appreciated and was very interactive and we would have chosen that restaurant every night for him! Polo and the other fellows at the sky bar were great. Always made sure we had a drink in hand and polo was very upbeat and very friendly. Drinks: All over the place. Completely varied depending on where you got it and who made it. We only ever had one weak drink however. Taste varied but for the most part the common theme was just strong which was great for vacation. Concierge: Rude and unhelpful. We asked for their assistance multiple times in getting ahold of someone from the restaurants because twice we called for a day and a half to try to make reservations at two of the a la carte restaurants and nobody answered. All we received was a standard template response telling us what number to call. When we explained the issue they stopped answering our messages, left us on read. I asked for the name of who i was talking to and they also didnt respond to that message either. Besides the concierge, the rest of the staff was pretty nice, always made conversation, made sure you were doing okay, had a drink, letting you know about any activities taking place in the evening. There was a bartended in the lobby bar who was always singing and friendly. Room service: Normally unavailable and someone rarely answered for anything except late night meals. Never breakfast, never lunch and nobody took the breakfast slip we filled out that was in the room. The food that did come was limited and the salads were disgusting. Tasted unwashed and the chicken was gritty, tasted almost like thawed paste. But my sister said her burger was good but really weird texture. Tortilla soup was soggy but tasty. This hotel is attached to a sister hotel, you definitely want to stay at this one. The sister hotel is bigger since its for family but its incredibly dirty. Think unkept beach based daycare. Every time we walked by we cringed at the chaos. Water and sand everywhere, slipped many times. Overall resort was alright but unsure we would go back as it is a bit small. They really know their angles because their photos make everything look much bigger online

    Good time

We stayed on the adults-only side and enjoyed our stay. The service was amazing. Francisco Lopez made sure to find me in the crowded room when I requested a bandage. Demian was such an instrumental figure in our stay and went above and beyond to make our trip one for the books. Eduardo (aka the skinny AKA the closer) in the members' meeting was adorably sweet and informative. The Mexican restaurant is the best. Skip the Japanese! Tequila never runs out, ??!
