    Very disappointed not clean, mask wearing not enforced in tower, no sanitizer in dispenser all day. Very dated. If not where it’s located It would be a budget inn. Lobby inviting rooms horrid. Be aware before spending premium prices. Location is great to mission beach and hotel fronts the bay.

    My family and I were visiting San Diego for a special occasion. Right from the start, the experience was so welcoming. Hitorni was so friendly and more helpful when explaining everything that the Catamaran had to offer. The location is right in the heart of Mission Beach/Bay but with the added comfort of being a "bubble" of a relaxing atmosphere on Mission Bay. Definately our go to spot when in San Diego.

    Justin greeted us and offered a wonderful drink and snack asked about our visit and was very pleasant Looking forward to coming again We were here for my daughter’s 16th birthday and she is having a fabulous time

    We always love this hotel, I live a few blocks away and this is where friends and family stay when they visit. Manager Diante really brought their customer service to a new level of awesomeness for my mother’s upcoming stay. I’m grateful for the ongoing quality and hospitality!

    Terrible Check-In Experience Nearly Ruined Stay

    Having stayed at the Catamaran before, we selected it again for a last-minute road trip following a work trip. The location can't be beat - on Mission Bay and a very short walk to the Pacific Ocean. The rooms are a little older, but everything worked and was comfortable. Parking is expensive ($27 a night), but given the location, it's probably to be expected - it's convenient, at least. The balcony for our room had dog hair all over everything, though! We tried to clean as best we could, but still ended up with dog hair on our clothes, not to mention that guests shouldn't have to be cleaning up after previous guests. It's a good thing we don't have allergies, or that could have been a real problem. Our biggest problem on this visit was with the check in. We arrived about 10 minutes before the 4pm check in, and went through the process but were told our room wasn't ready yet. We were able to park and were told we'd be called in approximately 15 minutes to come get our keys. About 30 minutes later, we called from the parking garage and were on hold for about 10 minutes until we got back in the physical check-in line (which was crazy long by then) and hung up. About 1 hour after we first arrived, we got our keys with no explanation about why we never got a call that our room was ready. It was a wasted hour on a relatively short visit, and was incredibly frustrating. There was barely an apology and no effort to rectify the situation. It's a nice hotel in a great location, but we might think twice about returning.
